Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Yes. Basically brings it into line with Scotland and I think Wales too.
The proposals are probably benign enough that they'll be accepted by the majority (as much as I disagree with vaccine passports in particular) and will pass without too much criticism given yesterday's revelations. It is also very hard for people not to comply with them.
The absolute fucking gall to stand up and announce these after the events of the last 48hrs though is astonishing. Even more so that he's just decided to do this on the hoof.
it's a man out of his depth and desperately scrambling for a deflection. No-one is buying it.

And to think that some here were defending the duplicitous shitebag a few weeks ago.

No way can Queen Nicola have us simply on a par with England. Even more shit imminently heading our way because some people will get a cold. Tremendous stuff. Of course, let's not forget the shameless distraction nonsense from the clowns in London either.
None of them are fit to govern.
You genuinely need to take a break from this thread before you have an embolism.

So with Plan B coming in for England all four nations are on the WEF Digital ID track.

I'm guessing around February time we are going to start seeing lots of articles about how Digital ID can reduce fraud, make women and children safer, combat terrorism etc.

Can it reduce you posting on P&B? Think we'd all be in favour if so.

Whilst wfh is not to everybody's taste. When all the restrictions got lifted in Norway in pure Norwegian manner my colleagues got offered to wfh or go back to the office...not one of them turned up at the office on the Monday 🤣

Our office has been open on a totally voluntary basis since August and I’ve been going in 3 or 4 days a week since then. I’d say about 80% of my colleagues have been going in at least once a week.

Personally I’ve really enjoyed not being stuck in my bedroom 5 days a week and would hate to go back to that.

Sage modelling 2k hospitalisations a day apparently, this will be what’s cited for the new restrictions.

Great to be back here again, absolutely smashing.

They can all get fucked.

How is SAGE's last modelling going? Still tracking way below their best case scenario last time I saw it.

Think some heads are needing a fresh flush down the lavvy.

f**k.  Was at the Stereophonics gig in Dundee on Friday.  Could have been me.

I've got a Stereophonics album. A close call.

Unless it's his resignation speech, I don't want to hear it, frankly.

Hopefully the lobby journalists use every question to ask about the Christmas party rather than their usual "why aren't you doing more restrictions" schtick.

Denmark shutting bars and restaurants from Friday.

It’s all coming down the pipe. One sniff of furlough and we’re fucked.
I never thought we'd see any further restrictions/mitigations beyond continued mask wearing and vaccine passports but it is starting to feel like the walls are closing in again. Very much hope I'm wrong.
