A 99 year old is worth less than a 10 year old (forgetting any other factors such as seriously ill10 year v healthy 99 year old who raises millions for the NHS) And given that the majority of the deaths are in the 'less valuable' category, then I'd accept a doubling of the average death rate so that I can get my pint and football back. I went to look at the Malay Mail website for a Covid update, and the top story was a non covid-19 story. It's like going back in time. A report about Chinese and Malaysian ships having a stand-off in the South China Sea. Maybe we can start a war to move the news cycle on a bit. I can see why mass testing (such as Germany) makes a huge difference, however what's the point in testing someone on the Monday and them being negative but then that very person catches it later that day / the next day ??
