RandomGuy.
January Transfer Window 2022 Out Christensen a seethe sale, Elyounoussi not required. Coulter a dross youth who I had no hopes for. Obafemi failed with his 6 month chance to force his way in, admittedly a hard task with Esposito and Ings in there. Loaned out as I look at a different option. His Southampton career my be decided by how well my new striker does... In My only signing, and a total punt. Atletico wanted £16m for a permanent move, but got a loan deal with an optional £15m fee built in. If hes shite he leaves in 6 months, if hes not then I can hopefully activate that fee before he leaves. Bad points? Doesn't look a great finisher, but everything else (speed, movement, ability on the ball) seems top notch for an 18yo. Danny Ings has been poor so he'll get chances. Purposely didn't make signings just for the sake of it. CB issue was resolved by recalling two young players out on loan, and they'll be given a chance since I think we're guaranteed another mid-table finish. Money in the budget will hopefully increase the Summers budget, and hopefully better players available then, Market was pretty bare this time.
RandomGuy.
January 2022 Redmond back playing regularly after injury, and performing. Espositos name a noticeable absence, but he was injured for the whole month and only made a few late appearances at the end. We went ahead in every single league game, and managed to win only one. Hugely frustrating month. Too many draws end our chances of Europe. Securing top half again the only aim left. Cup replay against Tottenham the big game, but I've not beaten since September 2019.

RandomGuy.
A new journey begins. Southampton was fun, but was struggling to connect with them by the end. I had a genuine chance of signing Vinicius Jr which felt a bit ridiculous, and I was starting to hoard wingers/attackers instead of thinking about anywhere else. Probably best for them and me to move on, and hopefully revitalise myself at a lower level, where I cant just spend £40m on the best youngster in the game. RandomGuy.
So far down the rabbit hole, the Board aren't even judging me on this season. Relegation is 100% guaranteed IMO. David Hopkin takes most of the blame, this is the squad he built... For reference, 4* players are classed as "good Premiership players"/3* as "leading Championship players" Goalkeepers Not bad, could be better. Will struggle to improve on Clark early on but that is the plan. Defenders Just awful. Gordon the only one up to top flight standard, zero idea why Daley-Campbell is rated so highly, he literally has no attribute above 8 other than his pace which is maxed out. The rest is worrying and explains a lot about why the club are hurtling towards the abyss. Midfielders A bit more to work with, but the wide positions are talentless, and theres no depth centrally. May in injured for my first month in charge. Strikers Hendry another whos injured, and will miss the rest of the season. N'Lundulu is a Southampton loanee, who isn't up it at this club, yet is somehow the best. A woeful, woeful, collection. Don't memorise many names of that lot, as most will be fucked off in the Summer regardless of what league we end up in.
RandomGuy.
Fixtures. I'll just split into remaining fixtures, and then fixtures after the split, rather than monthly. I might have made a mistake dumping Southampton for this rabble, tbh.

RandomGuy.
As expected, really. Team in abysmal form and no confidence get put into unfamiliar system, and it takes a while for them to get used to it. Persistence, and a lot of praise for being shite, seems to be paying off, but we really lack quality. Could've won that St Mirren game easily if we had anyone capable of scoring. That St Mirren result effectively relegates us. Zero chance of recovery from this position, so already preparing for a Championship campaign.
RandomGuy.
59 minutes ago, Poet of the Macabre said: Wild plot twist IMHO. Its probably a bit predictable, but I couldnt deal with them plummeting the way they were, and I'd lost interest in Southampton.
RandomGuy.
This lad is called Andy Murray. For some reason, Andy Murray was dumped in the Reserves, hadn't played a game, and was transfer listed for £20k. I've no idea whether it was David Hopkin or Darren Ferguson who done that, but fucking hell.
RandomGuy.
Split 2021/22 Things were starting to come together, but much too late. My record ends... Played: 10 Won: 3 Drew: 3 Lost: 4 Points: 12 So aye, of the 7 leagues win all season, 3 came in my 10 games. 39% of the total points earned came under my 10 games. Safe to say, I'm utterly convinced if I'd joined earlier I'd have saved them, this also inevitably means we'll fail miserably next season.
RandomGuy.
The 2022/23 Championship clubs. No idea how Shankland is still at United. A spoiler in there too if you can spot it. A play-off position is the minimum aim, so some breathing room at least.
RandomGuy.
The post detailing signings will have to be split into two, maybe three posts. I'll do it by position to make it easier on me as I'd forgot who was done and who wasnt.
