What happens if (when) Glasgow City, the ladies, the various other teams, and Thistle just tell Peasie tae GTF ? Is there definite security of tenure? Or will Caledonian Locomotives be told also... Look for another home ground?.... They are taking applications for a new Manager and Coaching staff.

Only info has bee on here from posts by glensmad. I think he says a window or similar opens up at or after the SFA agm. I know the SFA have sent out docs about the bronze status but nothing on any potential new licensee's Not seen any updates specifically from Beith either. Great another post saying nothing..
glensmad
First of all, I have no idea where Beith are in their Licensing journey, if indeed such a journey exists. If they wish to make that public then that's up to them, they are under no obligation to update anyone. What I will remind people of, though, is that there is an incredible amount of work involved in Licensing outside of the stadium facilities. There seems to be an attitude on here of it being a simple matter of "get the floodlights up, Bob's yer uncle". The paperwork mountain involved (which needs constantly reviewed and updated), the qualifications that need achieved, the training courses that need attended, there is much more. Licensing applications will re-open after the AGM, however the application fee will go up from the current £2000 to £5000 and will then increase each year thereafter in line with inflation. There will also be a deadline of 31st July for any applications to be considered for award at the following year's AGM, any team who apply (for example) on 1st August 2024 would not get their award (if they are compliant) until the AGM in June 2026. As I understand it, any team who were in the Licensing process prior to the moratorium coming in, will be treated as an on-going application and will not be subjected to the new application fee. Given you can easily make that in 1 Scottish cup tie, it's not that unfair, probably was too cheap in the first place

EoSFL have had access to licensing for 10 years. WoSFL have had access to licensing for 4 years. So the WoSFL is halfway to the EoSFL total in less than half of the time. Thanks for pointing that out.

I don't think many clubs actually believed the spin that was coming from a certain person at the SJFA at the time, however there was no other option for them until the WoSFL was formed in 2020.

There was a proposal for west juniors joining 3/4 years previously, before that joining the SoS(which if done en mass wouldn't have made on geography restrictive) both options were refused. Maybe the individual(s) involved made that happen but the clubs let them, it was known for years before the pyramid even started that those individuals were backwards and selfserving, the fact that wasn't resolved is entirely on the clubs.

parsforlife
If yeah and whilst i remember there were quite a few years where their were open applications for the LL including at inception when there were only a small number slots taken up by EoS/SoS clubs. Not one junior applicant, that's their fault.

No clubs applied because it was too much of a gamble to leave a competitive structure and join what was really just the old EoSL senior league.

Only 2 EoS clubs were guaranteed to be LL clubs at formation due to being licenced, the reason it became so east dominant was the refusal by west club to engage.

He conveniently ignores posts that correct his statements, waits a few weeks and then posts the same incorrect statement. Then he's corrected, and the cycle starts again.
