Fife Saint
The amount of war references connected with HMFC is alarming. A bizarre bunch of people.
Lex
If you read the statement, she does acknowledge that the legal team told her that Hearts' case was utter mince (or words to that effect), but Hearts ploughed on regardless. It's not fair to ask a lawyer to turn down phree munny just because they think their client is onto a total loser, and they actually tell the client that. I wonder how many JKB moonhowlers will be upset at how she's clearly played them by letting them think that they stood a real chance of winning until now. There were so many posts on here and elsewhere of Hearts fans saying things like.‘ Well our lawyers and legal experts think we’ve got a case, are they wrong and the resident legal experts on here right?’The answer to that repeated question was yes. It’s like going into DFS and them telling you that you need a sofa. Of course they’re going to tell you that, they want your money. Matters not a jot to them whether you do or not. I’m sure Hearts ‘legal team’ is laughing their way to the bank now. They’ve really ripped the pish out of the successful business woman and the Hearts support.
Zing.
Sure AB’s war reference will be enough to appease the mob on Kickback. She’s played a blinder at deflecting the blame tbf, not one of them will be laying into her for the position they find themselves in now.

The initial responses to the club tweet were less than favourable. Largely because it was immediately inundated with people ripping the pish but there were a few maroon dissenters.
Popular Post DA Baracus
With all the war references, will Budge next claim that she'll 'fight them on the beaches'? Because Hearts can do just that in the upcoming season. They can 'fight them on the beaches' of Arbroath, Ayr, Kirkcaldy, Greenock, Dundee etc

FTOF
I wonder if the penny is finally dropping for some of their supporters who have come to the realisation that Budge has played them like a fiddle throughout this entire charade.
Billy Jean King
No mention of the appointment of a string of dud managers who in turn spent millions on a pile of dud players. Worst team in the division amassing 4 wins all season but nah let's just ignore all that as our main aim was to change the hierarchy in Scottish football, that's what the fans bought STs and paid FOH subs for ! How stupid are the Hearts fans to ignore this blatant deflection from the utterly honking decisions she has made right down to wasting hundreds of thousands on legal cases when by her own admission they were unlikely to win and again by her own admission was adding to the acknowledged financial loss of relegation. Aye you won the war Anne the rest of Scottish football are tonight licking their wounds [emoji848]

If anything, the statement seems to have had the opposite effect. Half of Kickback was growling at Hearts management before the statement comes out - and they then read, in black and white, that the lawyers told Hearts that the petition was unlikely to succeed (something they could have done with knowing for the past couple of months), yet that gets memory-holed by the dig at Neil Doncaster's statement and all the idiotic war guff in the last paragraph, and most of the Kickbackers are back onside, burbling about how good a statement it is. It reminds me of a super-popular 1970s miniseries in the Soviet Union called 'Seventeen Moments in Spring', about a Russian spy in the upper reaches of the Nazi establishment. In one scene, Stirlitz, the spy, has an incriminating conversation with a high-ranking German, only to end up asking about something mundane and leaving the office. The voice over assures the viewer that "Stirlitz knew that most people only remember the end of a conversation". It's so absurd that it became a famous Soviet joke (there was a whole genre of Stirlitz jokes) yet somehow Budge has just played it straight with Hearts fans and they don't even notice. Truth in television. Edited July 27, 2020 by Aim Here

They have obviously went out and bought the sevco handbook for deflect and blame something else for your own shortcomings. You can't actually blame them for using this tactic, just seems strange that it's so easily swallowed by most of their fanbase.
