Literally over 20 choices all free that date. Would love to hear the logic in coming to the decision on Falkirk??

edit: apologies if that seems direct but Falkirk just was not the location I was expecting 😂😂

Would be interested in your list of 20, as I can really only think of about half a dozen or so others in the central belt roughly equidistant between the clubs - in the SPFL: Airdrie, Cumbernauld, Livingston, Hamilton, Motherwell, Stenhousemuir. Falkirk maybe the cheapest to hire and probably with the best facilities? And if folk say no artificial pitches then you're limited for options.

I was considering the likes of lowland and west of Scotland grounds as well

Ochilview or the Indodrill would have been decent for this.

Can see it encouraging more Bonnyrigg fans out for the day but less on our end as is a trek/hassle with timetables on a Sunday for public transport. Have a look at getting home 🙈 Easier for the supporters clubs to book buses granted as no school runs but more difficult to get bus drivers.

Unless we get the go ahead to live stream it, no chance of watching it a home. Just seems like a bit of consultation would have went a long way to ensure the maximum attendance possible.

Going forward the competition is going to use an SPFL ground for the final imo as it's more 'prestigious' for the showpiece cup of non-league & differentiates it from regional/league cups.

Fair point, I wasn't thinking of public transport, hopefully most fans have a lift or supporters bus for this. it's a bit of a public transport trek on a Sunday as you say but even Glasgow is more awkward from Auchinleck on a Sunday so maybe that's just a reflection of haw bad a day the Sunday is rather than the location.

anyway it feels like we all do this dance every time there's a final and it changes noting. Best to just look forward to the positives of the big occasion. Talbot are in a final and folk will get seeing the Kelpies.

Both these grounds are astro stenny you can only watch on two sides and the alloa is not a good ground . Falkirk is modern and is perfect distance between the two teams in getting the feeling here if it's no rugby park then every ground mentioned is a no no for talbot fans with every excuse doing the rounds remember it's not all about talbot!

Where are you seeing that? Even Clyde would be easier to get to on a Sunday.

It’s not screaming showpiece when it’s 2 weeks prior we’re just finding out where it’s being played or prestigious when we don’t even know what the cup we’re competing for looks like. Had all season to arrange it surely?

factual statements are excuses 😂😂 out of interest have you used public transport to travel any distance on a Sunday evening??

Why use public transport when you can use supporters buses or cars ! Do they run around auckinleck and surrounding areas on cycles and scooters ffs it's 2022 so easy to get about even on a sunday.

This may come as a surprise or It may be hard to believe in the far wings of your residence but not everyone can afford a car and if it’s anything close to the junior cups supporters buses fill up rapid.

Have you got a better suggestion for where it should be held in the central belt?

Pollok?

Maybe, but given it's not even licensed yet does it have the facilities? Or harder to get to from the east?

Only Lowland grounds would be EK or Caley Braves, neither of which have enough capacity for this cup final.

Is Google banned in Ayrshire or something? No doubt if it was arranged for Falkirk 6 months ago and it involved two west clubs you'd be moaning about that instead... ;)
