Ludo*1
Does this require a new thread? Not really, but it's not as if there is a lot to speak about right now so this is as good as it gets. Two Dundee Derbies tonight - kinda. First up is Lawrence Shankland vs Declan McDaid (Obviously unable to use the Dundee teams on Fifa - but still) Then relive James McPake's best mate Maurice Malpas look about 75 year old and score in his 500th appearance for United: That Derby is of course better known for a famous Dundee celebration though: Shankland vs McDaid starts at 6:30pm on the page described in the poster above. Highlights of the real game start at 7pm on BBC Scotland. Edited April 24, 2020 by Speroni*1
Derry Alli
Both are on at 7pm or just the actual game?

Jimi Shandrix
Very happy memories of this game. Dees tore them a new arse for 75 mins then in true DFC fashion almost presented them with a point. This was the week before the League Cup final v Aberdeen where we shat it in the most spectacular fashion. A great day out up to the start of the game. I remember sitting on a wall outside the ground getting nicely toasted watching bus after bus of excited Dees going past. Some great players in that side.

Pageaud made a couple of fine saves at the end to hold on. Cracker of a game though
DA Baracus
This is the type of classic content I want to see on Sportscene, not endless games involving Celtic and the dead Rangers with the occasional Aberdeen game thrown in. Anyway, great season that was.
Ludo*1
Dundee team that included: Michel Pageaud Jim Duffy Neil McCann Chic Charnley Morten Wieghorst Dariusz Adamczuk Dusan Vrto Prime Jim Hamilton Paul Tosh George Shaw Finishing 5th in the second tier. Lowest ever finish until Alan Kernaghan surpassed that. United team that included: Christian Dailly Maurice 'Backstabber' Malpas Steven Pressley Dave Bowman Owen Coyle Gary McSwegan Craig Brewster Robbie Winters Rab Shannon Jim Bett Andy McLaren Finishing 2nd. Highlights the quality of the league that season. Brewster scored 19 goals in 36 league games, McSwegan 17 in 30. Winters 10 in 46. Paddy Connolly even notched 5 in 8 games. Coyle's record was 9 in 34.
invergowrie arab
Dundee should have been relegated for that celebration. An absolute minter. To show I'm not bitter I say the same thing about United stealing the Brazil 1994 celebration with ....erm ..... Dragutin Ristic Dark times indeed.
DA Baracus
There were some cracking teams and players in that league. Except Dumbarton.

Big Gus
Been enjoying this. Mental how much better quality both teams had in the second tier back then.
Ludo*1
Some save from Pageaud. Not a game for CH's - Pressley, Dailly, Duffy & Manley all had a shocker moment at times.
Jimi Shandrix
Weighorst best player on the pitch by a country mile. Loved that boi.
