Future League Reconstruction

Now now. Are you quite sure that that Hearts will be in better financial shape than the "diddy Fc's"?

Hearts are the only team in Scottish fitba' who are definitely on track to get far fewer of those blue and green pounds than they'd ordinarily expect. They still have expensive cant-pay-someone-to-take-him-off-their-hands liabilities like own goal supremo Christophe Berra burning a hole their books, they're scheduled to undergo a change to fan ownership - with the stability issues that involves (like will that secret multi-million donor trust the new consortium enough to hand over his cash to it year on year, and can FOH absorb a sudden financial gutpunch, like, well, what's already happening in 2020, the same way that a single rich backer probably could.)

You've missed the most important point: the government furlough scheme to £2500 per month maximum covers player wages either for their full 80% or as near as it for all of their competitors in the Championship next season. Hearts on the other hand will continue to haemorrhage money between now and June 30 and there's no indication when football will get back up and running again later in the year. I wonder how many relegation clauses Budge wrote into their player contracts as well.

If the Covid disruption to Scottish football is bad enough to sink half a dozen 'diddy teams' then Hearts' outgoings will already have them at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

Money or lack of. It’s the one thing Constant in Scottish fitba

So you're saying Hearts will die due to lack of money?

No us lad we have fans. We will be self sufficient.

You've got fans pumping their money into fundraiser to start a legal challenge m8, your fans will have nothing left in 4 months when you club needs it if they keep this up.

Or if they finish 3rd (or out of the playoff zone). Propose that 14 team league they're currently demanding and see if they still support it.

Ideally its proposed the 14 team league is only temporary, with no promotion the following season due to cutting the league back to 12 again.

Haven’t seen that, seen it suggested. Considering  it’s an option when the league gets called, if it’s happening now it’ll be a guise .
