CEX are usually a good option for picking up a cheaper game on a whim, but that's pretty shit behaviour from them.  You'd expect some wee scalper VL to do it, but you'd think a high street store would want to be a wee bit less obvious than that.

They are thieving b*****ds. I bought two Xbox controller from them last year, neither of them worked and he refused to refund me. Instead giving me store credit. Why the f**k would I want credit for a shop that sells things that I already know doesn’t work?
I wanted to punch the smug fat specky ginger VL in the coupon. The one shop I would be happy to see go under due to the pandemic.

Yesterday was actually my second attempt to get my joycon drift fixed cause they replaced the wrong controller the first time around.

Can’t work out if the staff are actively rude or just extremely socially awkward. I think it’s the latter. It’s exclusively run by Kerrang! casualties.

Series X due to arrive tomorrow, had ordered it with Game on the 24th November, originally stated it would arrive Christmas Eve, but just had the dispatch notification.

Going to get Assassins Creed, debating Cyber Punk, but will probably leave it until it is running a bit smoother. Does feel at the moment it's a next gen console without many next gen games. Happy to be getting it though.

Any indication on when stock will likely arrive?  Due to my location I am not likely to get one until stock is plenty online.  I see you can get them on ebay for about 800, but I am not that desperate.  However I did sell my PS4 Pro for someone's Xmas in the anticipation of having a PS5.  So now instead of exploding bears in Red Dead I am cleaning my fridge and oven etc for things to do.  Can someone tell me when my nightmare will end?

I would say you're looking at summer before they're not all getting snatched by the sick b*****ds that re sell at a mark up.

My mate came through for us right after Christmas and got an Xbox Series X to us before New Year. It really is just a big upgrade on the Xbox One right down to the menus being the same. I can't complain tho as the UI is/ was great and everything is running far smoother and looks a lot better. I didn't realise how much my Xbone was done until I loaded up Warzone and realised I didn't have to wait for parts of the map to load in.

I'm the dopey c**t who started redownloading all my games on to the Series X not realising I could just plug the external HDD I had for my Xbone and have them magically appear. At least I realised this before I attempted to put the Halo MCC and Gears Tactics on the new console. 😅

Not quite the same, but after getting the Series X, I downloaded my previous games, but of course they were the Xbox One version. Didn't see much difference in the games. Then I realised there was additional to download for the Series X.

As you say, nothing too major has changed, but the speed is ridiculous. I have also played quite a few games on my phone. Definitely going to get a Bluetooth controller at some stage.

I need to Google more about the remote play cause it sounds too good to be true.

Had the same thing with Gears Tactics. Transferred it over then it downloaded a 29gb upgrade today.

It's very easy to do, I've not tried it outwith the house, so going to attempt that at some stage and see how it goes.

Game just rattled through a load of Xboxs yesterday. Dunno about PS5.
It's an xbox I'll be getting the ps5 is just too big and hideous for similar power, I tried to pre order on game today but wouldn't let me unfortunately. Will just need to keep an eye open. I see scalpers prices are falling but there is no way I'd pay more than RRP for the sheer principle of it.

My cousin missed out six minutes after they went live? Assuming you picked one up?
I did indeed, I've got a link for a chat on telegram that sends a message out whenever there is stock of PS5s of series X if you want a link?
