Would have been nice to have got a cup, but I do feel we are building something good.
kingjoey
This quote from a Hearts fan on the BBC website this morning. Eleven points ahead of fouth with fifteen points to play for. Fitba fans, eh? Chris: This game highlights the mentality needed to compete at the top level; we just don’t have it. We have no real spark, Shankland is blowing cold and if anyone thinks third place in the league is a gimme then watch this space. It’s going to be a nervy run in.

I thought the BBC vetted the fans now so that only vaguely sensible and coherent people were offering opinions? This lad sounds like he's still mangling his jaw after his half time trip to the toilets. 18 minutes ago, kingjoey said: I'm wondering if "Chris" is Vincent. Nah, Vince wouldn't be able to write so much without getting irate about the mere existence of Livi

VincentGuerin
Aye. Barring a monumental collapse (and a stunning finish from Killie) this season will go down as "pretty good", I'd say. 3rd place, two trips to Hampden and only beaten by the sticky buns there, won an unseeded tie in Europe. Nothing really to complain about, which is simultaneously very nice and quite annoying. Had we avoided the OF at Hampden, we'd probably have had a cup final, which would have elevated things a bit. Interesting summer ahead. A lot going out the door, I reckon. I'd expect a rather different looking team next season and it'll be interesting to see what kind of market we go for and how much we spend. Football is a great outlet for middle managers on £35k to posture about "elite mentality".

DC92 Posted Sunday at 17:40 Share Posted Sunday at 17:40 Looks like league stage European football has gone from 99% done to 99.9% done after yesterday. Thankfully we have this lesson in humility from last year to remind us to refrain from hubris before it's official.

Craigie Jambo Posted Sunday at 19:39 Share Posted Sunday at 19:39 2 European trophies Is it time we bragged about beating spurs to become Club World Champions? Can we have a Galaxy, or at least a Globe or something above our gorgeous, alluring, majestic badge?
