sergie's no1 fan
Feeling a bit hard done by? Maybe you should just take your medicine? All of this - no fans, lower leagues not being able to play - was flagged as a probably outcome months ago. Scottish football could have got together to sort it and protect each other. Come up with solutions around reconstruction that ensured clubs confident of playing without fans could do so, with money drip fed to teams having to mothball. Ironically, the only club that has stepped up is Hearts with our fans contributing to the league as a whole through Anderson and to Thistle, Stranraer and other teams shafted through ordinary fans. Teams like Brechin, Hamilton, St Mirren, etc voted themselves out pf relegation trouble, Aberdeen and Well voted themselves into Europe, Raith voted themselves a title and so on. And the richest club of all hasn't contributed a bean, or even taken an active part in coming up with solutions. How's that for having "the right to feel hard done by"?How did StMirren and Hamilton vote ourselves out of relegation? We weren't bottom of the league.

Mr Positive, sometimes.
I think there should be a blanket agreement people should stop interacting with 8 games to go?

FTOF
How did StMirren and Hamilton vote ourselves out of relegation? We weren't bottom of the league. Indeed. There was only one top league team that tried, but failed, to vote themselves out of relegation.
sergie's no1 fan
Could've been if the games were played. We also voted against ourselves finishing 7th. God dammit Tony Fitzpatrick.

That would be good to know. How many of the lower league clubs are capable of live streaming, below Championship/Falkirk/Partick Thistle?Could even catch up of the full game at a price be possible?

ZingaliMan
Think its odds on fans will not be back in stadiums this season. That throws up the question how are championship and lower league clubs going to survive till the end of the season given players need to be tested twice a week. That's a whole lot of money to be found that many of the lower clubs just dont have. So what can be done ? Sadly I think the lower leagues should go into pause mode. It will mean many redundancies but should see clubs survive until times are right for fans to return. Then clubs can recruit again. It's not ideal especially clubs fans accepting such a scenario. If drastic action is not looked at / taken many clubs will disappear. Anyone else got constructive ideas what can be done if fans cant get into games how can these clubs survive with next to no income.

Montrose are streaming their matches. They’ve already done it with their home friendly against Dundee last Saturday.

I didn’t think lower league sides needed to tested except in the League Cup. Plus Anderson did give money for testing.

craigkillie
As it stands they only need to test in the week leading up to playing Premiership clubs in the League Cup. Premiership clubs can also request that lower league clubs drawn against their "colts" in the Challenge Cup, but the Premiership ckubs would cover the costs in that case.
Guest 8GamesToGo
Your hero Neil Doncaster's latest: "We are engaging with the Scottish Government to underline the existential threat to many of our clubs, and to the huge community, economic and sporting benefits they deliver, if this grave situation continues without meaningful public financial support." Despite this also being the case months ago, he and the clubs delighted in throwing three clubs to the wolves as quickly as they could though. "Vindicated" was the word he used was it? The SPFL never even expressed any sort of sympathy for the demoted clubs in their announcement of the Resolution until it was pointed out to them that maybe they should. So they released another statement in which they pretended to be sad. Our game is run by sociopaths. And now they expect tax payers to bail them out.
