Sherrif John Bunnell
Just the kind of form we need to see from McTominay before WC qualifiers.

Not sure what Ole could have done about that. Generally, Ole doesn’t have a clue - he’s not a good coach. It’s good to watch him have Man Utd toiling though. Distant Doonhamer
Absolutely comfortable win for Leicester. ManU have been absolutely dire.
Ira Gaines
I don't even like Man United and I found them infuriating there.

Mr. Brightside
Harry Maguire is just a boulder that has somehow become self-aware. Very rarely will you see a centre-back be out of position so often, it's actually impressive.

Ira Gaines
I think the thing that amazed me the most was that the Leicester players didn't even have to MOVE to win the ball back towards the end. Man United did every bit of work for them. Just awful.

Ira Gaines
I'd say Leicester did a lot more work taking their sloppy work in the early going.

McTominay has been excellent for weeks, one bad game doesn't change that. The constant desire to slag off Solskjaer on here is a bit weird. He's clearly not an amazing manager of any sort, but on the whole he's doing fine with Man Utd - certainly no worse than Mourinho or van Gaal before him, who are supposed to be two of the best coaches in the world. They were on a 14 match unbeaten run before today, and then as soon as they lose a single game (in the cup with a bit of squad rotation) it's open season again. He's clearly not a master tactician of any sort, but he's humble and a good man-manager, and the players all seem to really want to play for him, and that's an underrated trait for a manager to have nowadays. Obviously if they want to go to the next level of actually winning things again and competing in Europe then they're most likely going to have to get someone better in, but he's gone a very good job of steadying the ship and restoring a bit of identity to the club for the first time since Ferguson left.

United are a better team with Mctominay in it, he adds drive and strength to the team, he has improved immeasurably as a footballer in the last 18 months. As you say he made a mistake, the rush to slate him is a bit odd tbh. In respect of OGS he has done as much as he can do in steadying the ship. If United want to get back to winning trophies they need someone who is much more tactically astute. They have to get their next appointment spot on.

Totally agree with your point about him being humble - he comes across as being a very nice man. I just don’t think he’s a good enough coach for a club that should challenge for top honours - although maybe Utd are now a club that accepts mediocrity ??

accies1874
Man City will definitely lose at least one of their next two Wembley games. Not sure which one I'd prefer.
