Those saying the opposite the ones that have actually seen him play as a lone striker then aye? You came up with this pish last year when some St Johnstone fans were saying they should buy them, it was wrong then and it's utterly wrong now. Dunfermline fans aren't being biased when they say they've seen Nisbet play as a lone striker, they're saying it because they've seen him play the lone striker role plenty. Hibs play the system they do because they reckon its the strongest one for the players they have, Nisbet in turns play to that system, the fact they don't play with 1 up top isn't because Nisbet isn't able to, utterly mental suggestion.

In the second tier. How often have you seen him play in the top flight?
Aufc
Can we all just agree that it doesnt really matter who he picks out of shankland and nisbet? They are both fairly similar in standard and are about 4th choice striker so it also doesnt matter who he picks. Shankland is in the squad because he has been in previous squads. Should he ever get injured then Nisbet may get a call up and maintain that place in the squad.

Yes, in the second tier, where I watched him play allot as a lone striker, he's not had a long enough career in the top flight to play in a different system to determine whether he can, or can't play as a lone striker, we can though say from his time in the second tier that he played incredibly effectively as a lone striker. Shankland though struggled, and his goal output when playing as a lone striker was diminished. He was far happier in a two. As much as you have I'd imagine.
Derry Alli
It is pretty worrying for Scotland that the apparent superior Shankland "a better player with his back to goal and bringing others into play" Dundee United have, a couple times this season, finished games with 0 on target and little in the way of chances created. That's neither creating nor scoring. Whilst Nisbet has been slotting for fun. Edited November 4, 2020 by Mr. Alli

Similar to last season when shankland scored much more goals because he was playing in a better team than nisbet.

Ro Sham Bo
Dykes up against Marshall tonight in the Championship. Marshall has just gone 1-0 up with a good save from a Dykes header.

But bringing Nisbet in, getting him to know all the players, coaches, systems, etc, all while preparing for our biggest game in nearly 20 years doesnt seem like the right time to me. Shankland knows the players and the system, so shouldnt need any adjustment time. Likewise with the others brought into the squad. But if the main argument in a squad is over the 4th or 5th choice striker, its a good sign.

Donathan
Leigh Griffiths is the one player we can have that can completely change the game if we are behind with half an hour to go
craigkillie
There's a decent chance that neither Stuart Armstrong nor Ryan Christie start, and I'm pretty sure they also have the ability to change a game with half an hour to go, so Leigh Griffiths definitely isn't "the one player" who can do that.
accies1874
I don't think Armstrong or Christie will start which seems pretty mental considering they've arguably been our two most consistent performers since each of their debuts.
