Partick Thistle vs Falkirk - Will anyone remember the 7th of November?

Recommended Posts

I would have taken a draw before the game tbf, but the manner in which we got there was poor. We were very, very poor - surely Francis up front on his own is not seen as a viable option? He’s very powderpuff for a striker.

Beat Cove next week and I’m happy, but how likely is that with this team and their form?

Maybe just about deserved the draw but FFS, we didn't start playing until we went behind.

All in all it was a dreadful display and, as things stand, I don't think either of those sides are winning the league.

The ball doesn't stick with the front two at all, not really much quality there I'm afraid. Also, whilst Morrison is a good player, he constantly makes the wrong decision and needs to become more of a team player. He seems to think he's Ronaldo at times too.

McCracken made the wrong decision when Dowds went off, he should have brought Sammon on, poor as he's been, but he shat it!

Tbf he’s just coloured by their careers as Falkirk players which were very good.

We all want the 2 boys to do well but at the moment they look out of their depth.

Spot on btw. No nice to say, but it’s not working.

Cove were supposedly very poor against thistle and extremely fortunate to win. Apart from that they've no played anyone really and have had 3 home games.  I still fancy us at TFS but we need players back asap.

Top 2 yes but the rest could be different week to week. I reckon Dowds would score the least out of the bottom 3 and Sammon and Francis the same. Francis to me is a work in progress case but it doesn't work up top himself.

Miller still has the ability to be our best tho perhaps not the legs.

Happier we got the point, got some game time for Kelly and Telfer, we go again

That Dowds chance was massive. If he scores that and we go in at 2-0 down then there’s no chance we’re getting back into it. Then again, we did miss a penalty earlier, so it’s very easy to play the “ifs and buts” game.

Probably a fair result at the end of the day. Both teams happy to sit on their leads when they got them, rather than go out to try and put the game to bed.

Falkirk v Cove next up is an interesting one. While Cove beat our rabble, it was a snatch & grab and I’m not convinced they’re as good as their record so far suggests. If they win at TFS then I’ll be happy to admit they’re the favourite for the title.

I agree. I expect them to be tough to beat up there with the dodgy pitch and wind but should be looking to beat them comfortably down here.
