stevoraith
They'll have made a DVD documentary about that match for fitba Da's stocking presents, with bonus interviews about scoring one goal against one of the worst Bayern Munich teams of the past 30 years. The same team that included Matthäus, Papin, Kahn and Klinsmann? The one that went on to win the UEFA cup that year?Ok neebs. On another note, we really need to stop going on about the cup game. We were absolutely honking that day up until we got the penalty. It was a brilliant result but let’s not kid ourselves that we would have beaten them without the sending off and penalty to get us started.

Seems fine to be going on about especially as it was the last match between the sides.

Truth be told you were pretty stinking until the second goal, at 1-0 down and with ten men I still fancied our chances of an equaliser. Evidently didn't turn out like that.
raith_94
After a promising first few days, thread has taken sadly predictable turn. Roll on December 5.

Just wait until the post match... Fwiw I'm fully behind Raith giving it large about beating Bayern, at one point. It's a funny picture.

The best part of the story/image is the Rovers in the dressing room at halftime just sitting there listening to the bollocking the Germans were getting next door...plus the beer afterwards.

Stellaboz
When you consider the team Rovers had, you'd expect them to feel disappointed not to have progressed tbf.
Frank conner
Tbf in the 30 odd years I've been supporting the Rovers Dunfermline have never had as good a team that we had during the early 90s. Even going millions into debt couldn't match what those guys achieved
