Falkirk v Peterhead - 05/12/20

Recommended Posts

This is the most comfortable game we've had since we got relegated. We look to be improving every week but Peterhead are abysmal.

Dowds creates a lot of space and holds the ball up well but his final ball at times has been poor. If they can improve his finishing and delivery over the next couple of months he could be a great asset.

You can see why Peterhead have picked up the most fouls and bookings in the league so far.  Lots of little infringements that have broken up the play, generally booting the ball away for good measure too.

In spite of that, it's been a decent first half performance. Telfer has been good so far setting up both goals and some other nice passes, if Dowds had played in Morrison on any one of about 3 occasions, it would already be game over.

Peterhead's only 2 opportunities have come from set plays, important to tighten that up

Had actually forgotten that we had Deveney until the bench was read out there. What was the point in signing him if he’s presumably behind Morrison, Leitch, Connolly and Telfer in the pecking order?

Funnily enough players get injured and suspended throughout a season, otherwise we’d sign 16 players

I wonder if he was signed because they didn't think Kelly would and then when there was a last minute rush in season ticket sales that meant we could afford Kelly.

Good point - forgot he was a defender, had thought he was a winger for some reason.
