A Brechin team who then went a whole season without winning a game.

John Hughes as a short-term appointment when your manager has left for another job because the team is doing well and you just need someone to keep a strong and confident squad ticking over is fine, and he might even push you onto the next level in those circumstances by getting a bit extra out of that squad with motivation and pashun.

John Hughes getting a job when your manager has left due to being shite and putting you in a relegation battle, where a squad low on confidence needs to be turned around and possibly overhauled in the transfer window too, is going to be a fucking disaster. This is going to rival McStay and Coyle for Ross County's worst ever manager.

Would need to be very, very short, before he gets the chance to make his own signings and completely f**k your team up.

Yep, McGregor will need lobotomised if he allows Hughes to sign anyone.

Ah, but he'll be sure to bring in "gud honest laddies"

A good appointment. Piles the pressure on the teams around County to pull the trigger themselves or face being left behind.

^^

Absolutely gutted Yogi won't be replacing McPake.
