Hearts V Ayr United Football Club

We aren't allowed to spend it on signings.
I didn't know that but was just about to post that we absolutely shouldn't be spending that money on signings. The money is to keep the club going, which is far more important than our current defensive woes (as bad as they are).

The negativity from a section of the support will return because we've been shite again, and it's getting harder to defend the way the team are playing this season. Even when we were getting results there were issues, and in the last couple of weeks it's just turned to shit.

That still doesn't mean we should be thinking about getting rid of kerr. He's a young manager and deserves a decent shot. It's been a year like no other and we need to just consolidate our position in this league, and keep paying the bills. Short term thinking would be insane at this time.

The only thing that would make the manager's position untenable would be slipping into a relegation fight. That's still a fair bit off at the moment but the ship needs steadied.

Another capitulation.  Need to spend sturgeons bail out money on some decent defenders.

It's not the players it's the tactics, if you just sit back and let the opposition have 90% possession and to throw ball after ball into the box then it's going to be a long afternoon for any side.

We need to get back to our possession based style as this "hoping for the best" simply isn't working.

What's the point of having good footballers such as Moffat, Smith, McCowan, Anderson and Walsh if they can hardly get a touch of the ball ???

If Kerr is to continue, he needs to find a first team coach who can actually organise and motivate this shower of s****.  Otherwise we’re heading for a relegation battle we're ill equipped to fight.

I think we'll have just enough to avoid being sucked into the relegation battle, just.... next two games are massive though

these five, six minute periods of just conceding as many as we can are just bizarre

Not that bizarre.  Roscoe and Reading are heading for the juniors, Muirhead is game but out of position, and the midfield couldn’t burst its way out of a paper bag.

Yeah, I don't believe Kerr has had a fair crack at the job yet. He took over part way into last season which was eventually curtailed due to COVID. If we were in the relegation fight going into February then it would probably be in the interests of the club to do something about it, but not yet.

Funny because a team of players like Walsh, Anderson, zanatta, Chalmers and Murdoch most certainly isn't a shower of sh*te and should be challenging up the top of this league. It's quite clear that it's the management that's a shower of sh*te and Kerr is tactically inept shown by the arse collapses and poor performances nearly every week this season

There have been enough positive signs to convince me that we won't fall that far.

We went on a run of clean sheets not so long ago - and the fact that we've went to Tynecastle and scored 3 goals is a good sign. We clearly showed some fight in this game, even though we capitulated.

We also won quite convincingly against alloa not too long ago so i think we've got enough about us to not become a part of any relegation fight.
