Never a foul, let alone a booking or red card. The game is now ruined by the interpretation of the likes of Beaton, Collum and Little Dallas. Remember when it was a mans game? Right, a clown has recently been emptied for this "man up" pish, he went out to do damage to the other player & that is not acceptable, the fact that his Manager immediately substituted him tells you all you need to know.
Lofarl
I dare suggest, hint even that the above article is from the EPL.
craigkillie
I would say an accidental trip would come under fair and reasonable, no?Again though, these aren't actually the words in the laws of the game. Those have been posted several times and are what the referee has to follow, not some article on the English Premier League website.
G51
Aberdeen are just very ill-disciplined aren’t they. They’ve totally lost the heid here. McInnes needs to get them in and calm them down if they’re to get anything out of this.

The Premier League is purposely misleading fans on the wording of the rules the FA decided upon.

G-MAN
Is there genuinely no end to the verbal diarrhea that the cheeky little chappie McCoist can spout during the course of a game. There’s a simple answer. Watch every Dons game on RedTV.

He went for a bouncing ball as did Barisic. He got subbed because he is on a booking and is a physical player. Can’t risk losing another man.

thepundit
The Dons made a bright start to the game but Rangers gradually took control and the goal was coming. Must admit I was surprised at the red card. Equally as surprised when Main never got sent off. Need a 2nd goal to calm the nerves as to be fair Aberdeen still look like they can get a goal when they go forward.

craigkillie
[emoji23] Ok Craig. The Premier League is purposely misleading fans on the wording of the rules the FA decided upon. The FA don't unilaterally decide on the rules, they are the same for every nation across the world. The FA have one of the 8 votes on IFAB, as do the SFA.That article is an attempt to clarify the rule changes for supporters, it does not provide a detailed explanation of the law. The purpose of the law change was that if a player made an attempt to play the ball they would no longer be sent off. The words "fair and reasonable" don't appear anywhere in the actual law, but even if they did, it would purely relate to players making a challenge for the ball. If you don't challenge for the ball then none of this applies.
