Caro-Kann Posted December 1, 2023 Share Posted December 1, 2023 It was a 40 move agreed draw in the top of the table B Division encounter between redVtop and pleslie999. Most of the pressure came from black with their 3v2 pawn advantage on the Q side as opposed to 4v3 on the K side for white. I'll comfort myself with knowing that this was probably the most competitive game I've had against @Trogdor. 50 moves in and still a bit of chess to play, but there was an air of inevitability about the outcome so I bowed out before it got too messy. Well played again. That was a toughie, I must have erred as you got an awful lot of play early doors. I thought Nxg6 was lovely, I see that the computer didn't like it but it's a very nice move. I eventually ended up 2 pawns up with opposite bishops (which is more often than not drawn if you get into an endgame). Ken ended up with big pressure on my kingside via his Queen, Bishop and two Rooks. Unfortunately, he then blundered one of the Rooks.
