Couldn't work out what to do and then got lucky with the knight forking your queen and rook!Aye, you had my queen running laps for the first thirty moves which sort of lead to that but I was never really confident I could pull off the checkmate, you always had more potential defenders than I had attackers. As a result of the Queen chase it took me ages to properly develop and even then I failed to move that bishop off the back rank which is what probably cost me (I'd been considering it since about move ten and also thought it might be good to move my king off the back rank in case one of your myriad rooks made their way down there).Checkmated by a fucking pawn advancing two squares which had sat on its arse for 53 moves, that must have been satisfying. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He resigned.Game was over when instead of fully retreating his Queen when I attacked it he just went back and sideways one square - trapped the Queen up against his own pieces and took it after a check on the King left the Queen open to a discovered take by my Bishop. To rub salt in I then took his rook and knight after checks on his King.
