Killie vs Top 6 bound DUFC

Recommended Posts

Unlucky to lose Sporle so early. Had a bearing on the game no doubt.
Wise to take off Fuchs. But had a bearing on the game no doubt.
Daft to out on Connolly and go to a back three. Had a bearing on the game no doubt.
Lucky to get a point really, but top six is gone now.
Aye. Taking off Fuchs was the right call. Replacing him with Mark Connolly...was not.

Stunned that people are moaning about Fuchs getting the hook. He was seeing a red card the next tackle he made. The only issue was putting Connolly on instead. To be fair, given the bench, there wasnt much muscle and power there. Killie deserved a point but the play acting and diving was a bit OTT. I think they will struggle in the Championship

Don't think anyone is disputing Fuchs needed taken off. I would have moved Harkes into the middle and given Chalmers a run out.

Think we need one more win to relax.

Only yo-yo clubs have to play in the Championship.

I don't think him taking Fuchs off was a bad idea, it was his replacement. I would have probably done this 👇

If they do go down I hope they finish 4th by a point above Dundee next season.

Can only agree that a point was all we deserved from that. We were outplayed for large parts and can count ourselves lucky that Killie have been struggling in front of goal.

Really feel for Spörle, he just can't catch a break. Hopefully he'll not be out for very long, we look much more dangerous with him in the team. Appéré was poor, just never got into the game today, looked very close to flogging a penalty.

Mellon was absolutely right to take Fuchs off but bringing another centre half with so much of the game left was asking for trouble. Given the precedent set by Livi's red card a fortnight ago Connolly was lucky to stay on the pitch when he hauled down Killie's sub too.

Also, I'm concerned that us finishing the game with Shankland, McNulty and Clark all on indicates Mellon still can't see that doesn't work. To be perfectly honest, McNulty impresses me less and less with each passing week.

Don't really know what Big Kyle's goal was disallowed for.

Broadfoot being a fanny in the build up.

Have faith,  big Kyle will keep you guys up.

This will no doubt come back and bite me after the split, but I've thought for a long time that McNulty isn't actually very good at all. He had a wee purple patch in his first spell at Hibs, but apart from that he's shown very little to suggest he is a Premiership level player.

Dundee United could end up playing at Rugby Park for a third time post split. Killie would be due 3 home games ,although not guaranteed as we might be forced to play 20 away and 18 at home as has happened before. But if it’s 19 home games then it’s , Ross County, Motherwell and one other with Hamilton and Motherwell away. Two seasons ago Killie were sent to Ibrox three times.  Out of StJohnstone,St Mirren and Dundee United I think United are the weakest link.
