Bundesliga Boy
Does anyone know which date the league is scheduled to return on in January?
Judge
Is it one game against each team in the league then split in January, then facing each other home and away?

As far as i know if one more game, so some teams will have a fixture imbalance . A total of 28 games and that's one of the reason summer season rush of games where this point last year most teams had played 10 games never happened this season. If it was home and away after the split that would be 37 games and only 1 less than last years 38 which has a game in June.

Correct, when everyone played each other once, the top 10 and bottom 10 will play each other one more time.

RossBFaeDundee
Downfield 2-1 Tayport Downfield started the better, but a moment of madness at the back where a horrible pass quickly led to a cheap penalty to the Fifers which gave them the edge. Downfield were easily the better team in possession, but could do nothing with it in the final third with Tayport happy to defend and went into HT behind. 2nd half started off in similar fashion, but eventually Downfield's attempts to walk the ball into the net paid off and they equalised. Game opened up a bit after that with close calls at both ends, but Tayport were leaving too much space down the middle and the Spiders netted the winner from outside the box. Better team won, but the game was stop-start and lacking much quality. Edited September 8 by RossBFaeDundee

Perfectly fair assesment of the game feel that sums it up well, Think if we (Tayport) had more players and could muster up a bench with some attackers to bring on then we could of been on for a grandstand finish
Aidan
Once again I find myself in Dundee with nothing to do whilst the good lady is at work on Saturday. With Dundee Violet and both Lochee teams being away from home, Dundee North End is looking to be my likely destination. Is there a bar at the ground or anywhere in particular nearby I should head to for a pre match tipple? Or since I’ll be walking past it anyway and only having a couple, am I best off just nipping in to The Glens?

Another option for you.

Dundee St James are also playing Arbroath Vics, however North End is a 20 minute walk from the Mrs’ gaff, the others are closer to the hour mark and I’m not ready for that level of commitment. I usually go and watch Dundee Violet if circumstances allow for it which is a nice 5 minute walk but they’re away from home so no such luck this week.

Glens probably closest pub but Whiteys,Frews and Strath all in scope.
MA7T Posted Monday at 10:45 Share Posted Monday at 10:45 Thought I would post the scores from the weekend just past below - Results Saturday 21/9, Junior Cup 2nd round: Ardeer Thistle 3-0 Dundee St James Ardrossan Winton Rovers 3-2 Kirriemuir Thistle Blantyre Victoria 1-2 Blairgowrie Caledonian Locomotives 7-0 Arbroath Victoria Carnoustie Panmure 0-1 Benburb Coupar Angus 0-6 Darvel Bellshill Athletic 1-2 Broughty Athletic Downfield 2-0 Newmachar United Dundee Violet (8-7p) 2-2 Wishaw Juniors Forfar United 1-3 Renfrew Lesmahagow Juniors 1-4 East Craigie Lochee Harp 3-3 (6-7p) West Park United Lochee United (5-3p) 2-2 Lanark United Montrose Roselea 4-2 Culter Newmains United (4-2p) 1-1 Forfar West End Sunnybank 0-2 Tayport Whitehills 0-25 [twenty five] Dundee North End Good to see another 9 teams progressing in the cup, with Letham already through after beating Dunipace a couple of weeks ago. Half the league into the next round. North End's win obviously the eye-catching scoreline, Roselea with probably the upset of the day from that list beating Culter.

I worry about how much of that players and volunteers can take before they decide it's not worth it.

welshbairn Posted Tuesday at 09:20 Share Posted Tuesday at 09:20 Just had a look at pictures of North End Park, have they ever thought of applying for a license? They look like they have the physical boxes ticked.
