O'Donnell will be like Barron. Hopefully a season with us & then into the Tangerines first team. Great potential. Young F Owens was solid also.

Yip F Owens played well , see him or Corbett fighting it out covering for Tam and right back position , B Owens just gives me the fear at left back(just gets all his positioning wrong )if Walker is out for any time wonder how Cunningham would fair at left back ??

Cunningham too valuable in forward area to play at LB. Young Billy does ok but clearly not his natural position. Corbett could actually do a job there I feel.

Points total from first quarter matching total from last 17 games from last season.

What a difference a year makes , this time last year we were just beaten 2-0 by Edinburgh, sitting 9th , minus 10 goals with 6 points from first quarter , barring the Hamilton , Falkirk games we've been a match or more for the rest , Tidser and the back room staff all deserve a massive pat on the back so far and we are actually playing some good football , brilliant for Daramola to get a start and a goal today did his confidence the world of good I hope

Kelty deserve a huge amount of credit. It was never going to be easy in the summer with a lot of changes behind the scenes.

But fair play to Tidser, he has assembled a very decent side which could potentially push for the play offs with probably half the budget to what Potter got last season.

Great to see you stamping your mark in this league.

Thanks Connor. Potter was an abject failure last season, as much as he's clearly valuable to a club the manager role isn't fir him imo.

Tidser a completely different proposition. Has a clear style of play, players all seem to look up to him, and he's determined to the hilt. His loan signings look terrific in O'Donnell, Bavidge & Owens. In Walker & Tiwi he's got two gems from lower leagues also.

Good time to be a Kelty supporter after an uncertain end to last season. Long may it continue.

If we're being fair Tidaer had little to nothing to do with Tiwi signing though, right? He was signed last season then loaned back to Bo'ness?

True, but he's only been at the club under Tids so has to take some credit for his performances so far.

After being by far the better team in the first half we've absolutely imploded.  Great free kick for Mortons 2nd but two horrible mistakes for the next two. Gourlay makes good saves but he's a liability. Thomson stuck in treacle today too.

To be fair heard Tidser at HT saying to the players that we more than matched them first half now let's get out this shitty cup 😂😂

Calling bullshit on the 'by far the better team' claim there. Morton were chronic in the first half and Kelty created more chances to score - but the score was 1-1 and it was far from a battering.

What may look like an implosion from a Kelty perspective was largely due to some overdue subs for ourselves. The energy to press that was added to our team coughed up one of the mistakes you cite. In the first half you were making the exact same, dodgy decisions with the ball at the back but we didn't have enough bodies pressing to capitalise.

The scoreline definitely flattered us and Kelty were okay. We simply upped the quality in the second half to avoid the banana skin outcome though.

At no point did i say it was a battering but we were well on top on the balance of pkay. We had far more of the ball in the final 3rd & should have had another two from Boti & Daramola at least, who Morton struggled to get a grip on. I don't disagree on the view that you pressed us way better second half & forced the errors. We had far less threat second half too.

Big Muirhead cased havoc & the free kick was a stunner. Tidser has us playing out, which creates risk & Morton sniffed it out really well second half. Gourlay had a howler for the third though 😆

I thought Thomson was far more to blame than Gourlay for the third.

The first half was similar to the first half of the League Cup game in Kelty being the better team, but I don't think you were as good in the first half yesterday as in the League Cup. Where you were very tidy in midfield in both games, in the League Cup you were also cutting us open at will and it genuinely wouldn't have been flattering had it been 3-0 at half-time, yesterday you absolutely should have been ahead by half-time but it wasn't nearly as dominant, with the tidy passing and  control of midfield not translating to nearly as many chances. Although the decision to shoot when a ball to two totally unmarked men 10 yards out was on was wild.

Again like the League Cup game, the subs totally changed the game for us, we're a different team with natural width and no Power slowing everything down. Kelty could not cope with the pressing at all and while 4-1 was flattering, aided by ridiculous defending, we were comfortably the better side in the end.
