I read it. And hes advocating that the Old Firm should get a bigger slice of the pie but 'only if everyone agrees'. Fuckin ridiculous comment

Tam Courts would be proud of spin like that.

So by that logic, every time there is a new deal, Rangers and Celtic kick up a fuss and end up getting more of the deal? Either there is a better deal to be had and everyone benefits or how on earth can anyone think it is right to give them a bigger slice to keep them happy?

Also ignores the fact that the money folk get from the deal is dependent in league positions.

Charlie is a good footballer, but really, he should step away from the media stuff. They keep trotting him out knowing he will eventually make an arse of himself. He's not clever to be intentionally provocative like Sutton and not media polished enough like Iwolumo.

Again, that's not what he's said. He's said, 'The only way you can do that is all getting in a room and talking. There is no point in emails and doing it through the press.'

Your last sentence is spot on though.

Heh, now hold on... all I said was Adam wasn't the person I'd be looking for as a 'phone a friend' on WWTBAM. ;)

He's advocating that the mudslinging and embarrassment stops and they actually communicate with each other.

Again, Adam comes away with a lot of shite the majority of the time but this one isn't worth getting upset over tbh.

Where is the mud slinging coming from?🤔

Murdoch MacLennan and Rangers. Are you even following this story?! Both wrote statements to all 41 clubs knowing full well it'd be made public rather than organising a meeting.

Has anyone actually read what Adam has said or are you all diving in with 2 feet at the Daily Record of all places?

'... the other 10 clubs have to have a say as well. They need to all get round a table and come to a decision. If that decision is Rangers and Celtic getting more of the pie, that’s what is has to be. As long as the other clubs are getting rewarded as well. '

Not actually much wrong with what he's said. He's basically saying that clubs need to stop mudslinging in the media, get round a table and come to a decision and stick to it whatever that decision might actually be.

Charlie isn't known for his brains and comes away with some amount of shite, but not actually said much that's controversial here.

We already sat round the table and decided how commercial revenue would be split. We are not giving the old firm a redo to grab more for themselves.

But then, this public spat has only made us less marketable when a meeting with all clubs could have resolved that. No one is suggesting a 'redo'.

Laughing at your post.

No idea why football fans feel the need to defend everything their club or players do/say.

What exactly does he mean when he says "the other 10 clubs have to have a say as well. They need to all get round a table and come to a decision. If that decision is Rangers and Celtic getting more of the pie, that’s what is has to be. As long as the other clubs are getting rewarded as well"

Why should the other clubs entertain this? How can they be rewarded if the Old Firm are taking a bigger slice of the pie? By fucking off the other 30 clubs?

If Rangers have made us less marketable then they should be getting less cash and not more.

It really is Old Firm hubris to suggest that the SPFL is letting us down with crap corporate sponsors when it is the toxicity of the Old Firm that is one of the reasons the league's value isn't what it could be.

I don't defend everything he says or does.

I think it's fairly clear what he means... that instead of the SPFL and Rangers arguing with each other in the media, get all the clubs involved, have a meeting and take it from there. I'm surprised so many are jumping in on this tbh.

It's simple stuff.

You actually read the Daily Record ?

I didn't think posting a record link in jest would have the wagons circling round Charlie (no pun intended).

Anyways, he's a lot smarter than most of you sensitive Fundee types give him credit for.

L’habit ne fait pas le moine. m9's✌️

My take:

Rangers agreed a sleeve sponsorship with Tomket. Maybe not surprisingly Tomket’s deal is contingent on them being the only advertising on the sleeve.

Doncaster moots deal with cinch for sleeve advertising and Robertson goes (as he says in his letter) ‘eh, haud on, I’m not sure we’ve that space available for sale’.

Doncaster does the deal anyway.

Tomket kick up a stink about sharing space they had exclusive rights to and here we are.

Park’s conspiracy theories are a big stretch IMO, particularly given the competing brands from other sectors  that have advertised across Scottish football for so many years.
