And then we would win the group on h2h. Given what we saw when we played Ukraine the other week it looks very unlikely.
Old Bing
The wee numbers guy only started posting when Clarke came, would he go to if Clarke is sacked or resigns?
2426255
I don't think you can just write of the whole campaign based because we've had a bad result. -

Jagsman411971
Clarke has to go. I know its a results business, but the performances over his reign as manager, have been fucking woeful, with 1 or 2 exceptions.
Loominous
It was a inexplicably bad performance, but I still think he can get us back on the road and I'd prefer to see him stay on if it was up to me which it's not. Everything is a little raw after such a humbling defeat - but I think it's better to keep calm.
accies1874
The Armenia game now becomes the abnormal of the last four games which is a worrying trend. In those, we've looked completely lost switching things about to very little effect which doesn't reflect well on Clarke as a manager. You've also seen similar deficiencies like the runs across the backline (Ireland and Ukraine both scored, Austria tried it a lot) and a lack of attacking cohesion (might have actually been some tonight tbf but hard to see in that away end). I'd hope it's a blip as, no matter what the "McLeish! Backdoor shootouts!" mob say, there's been enough under Clarke to think that we can turn it around and use these humblings constructively like he did for the Belgium-Russia-Belgium-Russia run. Get Armenia out the way with a win and go into September having learned from this shitemare.

Acastus
Time for something new. Pumped by one of the worst Ireland teams in history. It's got to be a foreign manager with national team experience and pedigree...any realistic targets ?
Biscuits
If Derek McInnes is the Scottish answer, we need to go down the foreign route. If McInnes is the answer f**k knows what the question is

Loominous
Thanks for that @JagsCG. I didn't have any issue with anything he did or didn't say there. It's just been disappointing day all round - a real sore one.

Gordopolis
Has he offered any answers None. No excuses either though, which is refreshing. The answers need to come Vs Armenia away. That game - which should have been tricky but do-able - now becomes utterly crucial.
