Finnart win their first ever senior honour with a game to spare.

Well done to Finnart on their win. A big well done to all the teams in the league for managing to fulfil so many fixtures despite the challenges of the last year. All those trips up and down to Campbeltown is a reflection of how much you all wanted it to work.

Anyone have any idea how might these teams fair against the lower conference teams next year should they all be promoted? Also any that might be able to compete higher in future years
Harthill as a smaller ex-junior club would suggest the teams above them could hold their own against smaller clubs given the gap between the top 5 & Harthill.

Were they quite poor before in the old junior leagues or have a poorer squad now? Assuming BSC and Campbelltown will massively struggle if things stay the same then.

Is there any news yet on how the current Division Four clubs (and any potential newcomers) would be fitted into Divisions Three or Four next season? The top two clubs in Division Four are already known i.e. Finnart and Kilsyth Athletic.

If the WoS provides the play-off winner to the Lowland League and does not receive a club coming down the WoS web site shows that there would be 17 Conference clubs plus a returning Annbank to fit it to Division Three for 2022/23 plus any promoted sides from Division Four.

How would that work? Are any clubs likely to be relegated from the current Conferences? Would Annbank go into Division Four?

Have a look at the ranking numbers in brackets on the left http://scotscores.theroonba.com/clubrank/clubrankwe4.html and compare them to the Conference teams - I'd say they would be competitive enough against next season's Third Division teams.

Division 4 clubs accepted as members go into Div 3. However if there's not enough clubs (current or new) to run a Div 4 next season, it's possible all of them will be put into Div 3 but with restrictions on being promoted etc.

You'd expect Harthill to be accepted given their ex-Junior ground, so even without any other teams Div 3 will probably need to run as Conferences due to having more than 16 clubs.

And no, current Conference clubs won't be relegated below Div 3 for next season.

All leagues were scheduled to finish as soon as possible to enable the Conferences set-up to be ditched and move into linear leagues, as more Covid interruptions were anticipated.
Yet the Premier League has teams playing 38 games and won't be finished until the end of April ....

The league season started a couple of weeks earlier than usual and had more midweek games front loaded into the schedule with the concern of COVID related postponements and a potential shutdown.

There was no need to fixture a league of 28 games in the same way the Prem, with it's 38 games was. To have teams playing Saturday/Wednesday in July and August and now sitting with their season finished isn't a good look regardless of the Covid climate.
