peasy23
Wait, we’re not drug cheats, that’s what other, bad countries do. Medically required or tainted meat IMO. Doctor Richard Freeman will be here with a jiffy, sorry, in a jiffy, to clear the matter up.

FortescueFotheringhamSmyth
Dublin on Friday night. Not changed since I lived there. The guy apologising for snotting him after realising he'd chinned the wrong fella is typical. The story isn't in the class of the time 30-odd years back that a female dining companion of Seb Coe had her bag snatched at a restaurant. Coe gave chase but the guy lost him! https://www.rte.ie/sport/other-sport/2021/0817/1241270-olympian-woolley-attack-could-have-been-much-worse/

peasy23
A first ever wheelchair rugby gold for GB with a win over the USA. Score was very tight until the last few minutes when GB managed to open up a 5 point lead.

HibeeJibee
Cricket among Olympic Games sports recommended for Los Angeles 2028 - BBC Sport Cricket could be in the Olympics for the first time since 1900 after organisers recommended it to be part of the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Twenty20 cricket will be put forward for approval to the International Olympic Committee for a vote next week. Flag football, a non-contact version of American football, and squash are set for their Olympic debuts in 2028. The other recommendations are baseball/softball and lacrosse, which were both left out for Paris 2024. Tokyo 2020's organising committee was allowed to add surfing, sport climbing, karate, baseball/softball and skateboarding when it hosted the event. Squash has been trying to get into the Olympics for years. For Paris 2024, it was beaten by breakdancing. In Tokyo 2020, it lost out to climbing, surfing and skateboarding.
Bully Wee Villa
It's about time. Ridiculous that the second biggest sport on the planet isn't involved, though I accept that it's just as much to do with the indifference/incompetence/outright hostility of the greedy elite cricket nations as it is the reluctance of the ICC that it has taken this long. Squash is long overdue, too. Never seen flag football or lacrosse but always happy to give new sports a try. That's part of the fun of the Olympics. I hope that if baseball is back it is on the proviso that the MLB teams release their players.
