Westdyke made at least the semi finals of 3/6 Scottish youth cup competitions held this season. As one of the very top boys clubs in the country just now and Westhill being one of the biggest towns (and forever growing seemingly) in the North East I think this makes a lot of sense.

Wow, I didn't know that, that's fantastic for a North East team. Hopefully they'll get voted in.

Westdyke's women's team are doing well too, got promoted to the 3rd tier last season and are sitting 27th in the women's pyramid. Looks like good things going on at the club. But their ground is a typical basic 3G cage with no facilities, alas.

They aren't particulary dominant in the leagues either, Dyce and BOD Albion are still very strong at most age groups.

Good to see the intent. Hopefully their "something else" isn't the same as the promises made by the likes of Knightswood.

Wonder if anyone has thought about building a new stadium at Westhill before...

keep an eye on this, when they eventually come out.

They still haven't updated the league tables since 25 May. Bridge of Don picked up 15 points after that!

Apart from expressing condolences on the passing of John Reilly, @jfanorth haven't tweeted since 2 June either.

I've been told there are problems with the system used to update the website, that it's being worked on and they hope to have everything up to date soon again.

Ah, thanks. They've always been up to date before so that makes sense.

Season kicks off tonight with the League Cup and the website isn't showing any fixtures.

Website problem still going on, also affecting Midlands League. It's apparently related to the wide SFA IT issues which also affects player registration. Driving clubs crazy.

Yikes, what platform do they use? Weird that the SJFA would use something connected to Comet.

The North Region don't appear to have their own Facebook page and the main SJFA page gives them little coverage, despite these being their only league competitions. The NR Twitter account only mentioned tonight's games last night.

I see the SoS have gone over to League Republic from Pitchero, joining WoS and others (though their social media still links to the old site). That's a really good platform, as is Team Expert used by the EoS. The LL seem to use the worst platform of all, it's just a list of fixtures and results with no functionality.
