Buffs had more than enough chances to take all 3 points second half in what was an entertaining game of football. The midfield was more mobile once Gavin Millar came on. A draw probably no use to both sides. Glasgow Perthshire, then Forfar Athletic up for Buffs next. Onwards and upwards COYB I couldn’t agree more. .

Onwards and upwards COYB Watched this game today and I think buffs stand out players were the baldy head captain & the striker won everything in the hair also had some lovely touches, seen him a few times and looks a decent signing , defo the least buffs deserved was a draw probs could have won it, referee was giving fouls the wrong way but not sure it helps him having a female who was 30 yards behind play & a 75 yr old That doesn’t run the line he walks !

Fair comments. Hope you enjoyed the game. Big Nichol has slotted in well at the back with Mark Millar. He'll probably move back into midfield once our new long throw specialist settles into the club. Big Dylan up front is a right nuisance to the opposition, unplayable when on his game and knows where the goals are. It was an excellent second half from the team yesterday, just need to start games a wee bit better.

funky monkey
A frustrating day at Buffs Park for Kilwinning Rangers. We more than matched a team 2 leagues above us, but some naivety and over eagerness to take the game to the opposition cost us dearly. Forfar defended well and hit us on the break. It took a bizarre own goal for Forfar's second goal to more or less kill the contest, the 3rd coming on the counter as Buffs chased the equaliser following a good goal from Collins. Buffs will learn a lot from today, it'll stand us in good stead for the rest of the season. Best of luck to Forfar in the next round.
Peter Culter
The issue with the net can’t keep interrupting games. That’s at least three occasions where play has had to be halted because of a daft problem. It totally killed the momentum we built up in the first half this afternoon.

We were on top when the referee stopped the game for five or so minutes due to an issue with one of the nets. After that it took us a while to get back up to steam. It isn’t the first time the same net has stopped the match.

Attended the game today as a neutral, the net had no relevance In the game in terms of the outcome as forfar in my opinion were just that bit better and more silky than the buffs , if anything it's incompetence from the buffs and the officials fir not checking it before the game started, the big thing for me was the lack of a crowd and atmosphere today I thought after the cumnock crowd last night that as a huge town that the buffs would have had loads of the town out In support Today and maybe pushing on 2,000 ,I would guess that crowd today would be 600 if lucky .

The ‘big’ team were at home today so that knackers any chance of a large crowd, unfortunately. A lack of promotion doesn’t help. Still maintain that we lost a bit of a spark after the delay but agree with your comments.

Got to disagree the big team today were forfar, they have a far bigger Scottish ' senior cup ' pedigree than the buffs and all us guys at our level , was really surprised at their lack of a crowd and general enthusiasm too on the terraces , only a few small clusters , maybe I was niave today in turning up thinking that it would be a right good sing off between both sets of fans with flags waving etc etc as it most certainly never happened, this game was a huge stepping stone for the Buffs In. particular and I get that teams like forfar see it as nothing new..

And there are still people who refused to come back when the club moved stadium a few years ago.The atmosphere was very flat though, it was much better against Tranent for some reason.Forfar were very well organised at the back and were content to let Kilwinning have most of the play. I couldn't really see us scoring in all honesty until Collins' header went in. But it wasn't a total mismatch - you could just tell one team played at a higher level consistently.
