Not sure what the weather is like over there, this game in any doubt?

The weather has been fine here all week. Ayrshire was unaffected by the storm last week. Unless something extremely drastic happens, Buffs Park is in good condition and ready to go.

Best of luck to the Buffs, get on it from the start.

Think this will be a superb game, could even have been the TV game for BBC its that's interesting.    Definitely a hard game for the Buffs but hoping they pull through and reach the next round.

KR played a good game, tall, physical, and quick. Wasn't a free flowing game but cowden took their chance from a poor back pass.. with Cowden saving a glorious chance late on.

All the best in the future, probably see you guys in the LL sooner or later.

Lets try to be honest, I like the invitation and the compliment, but 90% of WOSFL teams are paying lip service to the pyramid, and are happy to be where they are, TRUE, but good luck to you in the CUP and in your climb back up.

It’s pretty hard for clubs like Kilwinning when teams like Cowdenbeath are gate keeping the pyramid and limiting promotion for the tier 6 sides

You will need to explain this one further??

As the lowland league clubs continue to vote against increased promotion and relegation it makes it incredibly difficult for aspirational teams in WoSFL. Darvel, Talbot, Cumnock, Kilwinning, Pollok, Clydebank etc to actually get into the lowland league!

As far as I am aware there has only been one vote on that subject in recent years, although I stand to be corrected. Any LL club, at any time, can propose a new vote, and you would have thought that with some new clubs from East (Linlithgow, Tranent etc) having arrived there would be enough support for it now. Unfortunately we have had no teams from the West as of yet, and if Beith win the league again this season that will not change.

Sorry Pyramid Watcher, from what I know, researched and heard, I think it was the Civil Service representative at a general Lowland League meeting at the start of the season who proposed that relegation and promotion to and from Lowland League should not be talked about until the SPFL2 open up relegation from the SPFL2 to the Lowland.  Some other Lowland team seconded it and it had been hushed under the boardroom carpet.

Regarding the West.  If Beith win the league and do not have  a license then they cannot be put forward to the Playoffs but the WOSFL should be able to nominate the next team who has a license.  This is similar to the deal that if Hearts B or Celtic B win the league they cannot be put forward by the Lowland League for the playoff but can nominate the next team who can be put forward.   Going further up, its the SFA or SPFL who has to put the team forward for the Champions league, Europa League etc...

As far as I am aware there is nothing in the  to stop a team revisiting it, and asking for another vote.

As for the second bit, that is up to the WoSFL to propose that, and as far as I know they haven’t.

I agreed with you and hope it does

I think its the Lowland who can stop another team being proposed to the Lowland.  it was talks about on the Catch up podcast

I think there's some crosswires here. When the vote on relegation proposals took place in Spring 2022, CSS or others raised the idea it shouldn't be brought up again until the SPFL brought in changes. Just as the relegation proposal never passed, the anti-relegation idea never passed a full vote.

If it had, it would have been enshrined in their constitution.

Thanks for that Fair
Any idea if it was it Civil Service who instigated the proposal and who seconded it?

A really competitive cup tie yesterday, absolutely nothing in it.

Buffs can be proud of their efforts. Onwards and upwards for us. All the best to Cowdenbeath in the next round.

Great to see a good crowd inside Buffs Park. Great to see the town turning out to support the club.
