Afghanistan Crisis

Trump would have done the same thing. He pulled out of Syria. There is an isolationist tendency in the Republican Party who would have supported such a move.

The USA illegally occupy 1/3rd of Syria's territory. They occupy the main oil producing region and are sabotaging agriculture and water supplies needed by the Syrian people.

The fact that it's widely believed that the USA withdrew (or unknown that they invaded at all) is another victory for state/corporate media propaganda.

Reports of a convoy of about 200 vehicles heading to Kabul full of Afghani special forces to fight the Taliban being reported on Al Jazeera

No chance they will be going to fight. They will be getting extracted and will pop up again in Syria or Yemen or Somalia or Mozambique or wherever the next proxy war is.

I work with a lad who fled back in 2001 (he thinks) unfortunately his family didn't make it out, he ended up in Hull, before being sent down to Exeter, he now lives in Essex (probably a joke to be made here). He isn't sure of his exact birth date and therefore age, although he thinks he is around 26. We went out for dinner a few months ago and I asked him about Afghanistan and if he'd go back etc, he said he was keen to see his family that were still there but had been told not to attempt coming over as the Taliban were starting to become a lot more visible and kidnapping was a real possibility. He was also pretty convinced about what is happening now would happen. He's been off the past few days, have sent him a couple texts just checking in and he seems utterly dejected.

Similar to you, one of my friends came over 15 years ago and is in despair at the state of the country and worried about his family that remained. It’s a travesty what is happening.

The West has abandoned the people to absolute nut cases.

Back to making opium and being told Mohammed was the ultimate shagger for the Afghans.

The Taliban pretty well wiped out opium production when they were in charge. Then the Americans took over and it opened up again, becoming the Taliban's main source of revenue.

Keith Rambo.

He'll be on the next flight to Kabul as soon as he gets his spreadsheets finished.

Looking forward to the Twitter liberals forming their own version of the International Brigades and running their crusade against misogyny all the way to the gates of Riyadh.

God imagine sending the Jeans and Sheaux crowd to fight the Taliban. Apocalypse Now but it’s Dakota playing over the intro.

The ISIS Toyota pickup truck convoy driving across the desert but it's hundreds of white BMW M3s on finance deals.
