Shuggie_Murray7
It is never good if the VAR officials are only looking at the specific incidents and not the actual game. How does he not know that the on-field call was offside? He was so fast with the "Check complete, check complete" and 30 seconds later he seems to still not know what he was being asked to review. Safe to say, he's done.
LiviLion
Whole thing avoided if he just says "Liverpool player is ONside" instead of just "Check complete" Who would have known VAR would be such a mess

craigkillie
An assistant making a split-second mistake is not a "mess". Three officials working together to give the wrong decision whilst having full access to replays is a mess.

Busta Nut
yes they could have. Regardless of what pedants want they realised 2 seconds after they could have checked again. What is the fucking point if they can't?
Saint Paddy
It's literally written in the laws of the games. Don't make me tap the sign.... Once a game has restarted, no option to change your mind.

The offside rule has an entire section in the laws of the game, they just blatantly ignored that section.
Saint Paddy
Last word on it. Two wrongs don't make a right. Original mistake was incompetence. They had no recourse to over turn the decision. It's black and white.

Do 3 wrongs make a sort of right?

Virtual Insanity
They obviously could. It would have been against the rules but they could have done it.

Because there has to be some point after which a VARS referee can't say, "Sorry, I might have got that wrong, we need to go back to that decision."
