DrewDon
'Bit of supper with the Prime Minister. Just the two of us. Should be fun.' 'Oh, that's very impressive.' 'No, it isn't. It's just what we do, it's... normal.'

Arch Stanton
Simon Hewitt? He's a fat guy with a dick the size of a bookie's biro.

Can you imagine sitting around a table with other writers getting paid to come up with lines like that all day? Probably in a pub with a bookies next door.

DrewDon
I have been watching it back on iPlayer. It is still good, but the quality of the dialogue does take a hit after the specials. The first six episodes, especially with the Hugh and Glenn dynamic, are when it is at its best and most subtle. Mannion is a good addition, though.
Bully Wee Villa
The specials were when it peaked, IMO. Certainly for the Labour element. Mannion became star of the show after them.

Glenn's look at Hugh at the enquiry when he starts talking about his sons performance in the school play is brilliant. Edit - Series 3 is just the Malcolm Tucker Show and to see how many swears they can fit into each episode (although I think the Eastbourne episode is brilliant). Series 4 picks up again with the back and forth episodes, the addition of Adam and Fergus was a good idea IMO.
