Donathan
My early feeling is we look more up for it. Could all change though.
peasy23
Random question, but why did they ever come up with 38 minutes for the game clock? Was 10 x 4 minutes just too simple?

You often get a feeling with curling who has momentum. I feel GB look more controlled and Japan seem chasing the game. Early days but if Eve can get 2+ with this hammer it's a great start.

101
Anyone else get the sense that Rhona absolutely hates Steve? Nice start to the game only could have been improved by a 3 in the 1st.

Good start then never relinquished control

I can count on one hand the number of 10 end games and timed tournaments I've played. Edited February 20, 2022 by flyingscot

Left Back
Not seeing how they can make 2 here ETA they didn’t. Steal for us
101
Good stuff for the first half. One thing Im a bit disappointed by is having watched lots of curling disappointing not to see anyone fall on their arse on the ice. If one of the Japanese ladies could humour me, that would be appreciated.

flyingscot
Great work. Japan really should have made that but the steal is great. One of the funniest things is Rhona tactfully correcting Steve Cram.

That's twice Jackie has called Steve an old fart as well.

Strange to think that only a couple of months ago both these teams emerged from the olympic qualifying event (Scotland did become European champions a few weeks earlier in December though)

peasy23
Japan certainly not giving themselves much chance of a multiple score by allowing GB to have lots of stones in the house.

As for the alternates, can they only be used to replace an injury or can they be used for tactical reasons?
