Russian invasion of Ukraine

Interesting comment from the defence secretary about TB2 drones. During the war in Karabakh the drones were heavily publicised as a propaganda tool by Azerbaijan, who out out multiple videos of drone strikes every day. There have been some videos of drone strikes in this war but not as many. It’s been said that Turkey didn’t want their use publicised to keep favour with Russia, but also Russia have tools to counteract TB2s, electronic warfare, guided missile, fighter jets.

Looking at the trajectory of the gradient on those sand bags, they're only going to protect up to Richelieu's oxters. Having gone to all that effort I expect it'll be a bit of a pisser when he gets his head blown off...

Best fake news so far..

Earlier this week, news report circulated claiming that Seagal had joined the Russian military invading Ukrainesteven-seagal.jpeg.783df51fe44b62ab5f7bfe14cea8fbc4.jpeg

Wouldn't be much use, he's just a cook

I see Saudi Arabia currently bombing the f**k out of Yemeni civilians and apparently no one gives a shit about that, offered 6 days ago to become mediators in peace talks between all parties now been accused by the USA of siding with the Russians over oil matters.

People do give a shit. Sadly too few, none of them ‘powerful’ and none in the MSM.

Similarly we turn a blind eye to what they do in their own country to their own citizens.

Maybe the move towards renewables in Scotland, including electric transportation, will mean our reliance on energy sources from despotic countries fades away.

If he had just said they are creating safe spaces and taking on board the lived experience of the BAME refugees while investing in ways to amplify diverse voices within Ukraine he would have hit it out the park. You need to know the lingo.

Four British soldiers are apparently AWOL in Ukraine.

Genuine idiocy from professional soldiers or a cover story ahead of covert forces getting captured?

Not a chance. If there was SF in Ukraine (which there probably is as protection for any UK sis or diplomats), then they’d never acknowledge it or suggest they’d gone awol as a cover. The Russians will expect small numbers of SF teams from various countries in the Ukraine.

The media don't find it as powerful as when white people are being bombed.

Especially when we have been providing the weapons used, it's a topic that seems to be best avoided.

The reliance on energy sources perhaps, but the likelihood of need to deal with despotic countries will increase with the shift to greener energy sources.

Russia are set to default on their debt, they've been downgraded in the credit markets.

Last European country to default was Greece.  Going by this list, Argentina absolutely love a default, they seem to have missed more payments than they've made.

If they just dingy the letters for 6 years it gets written off.
