WW3 will solve the world's financial problems. Maybe not a bad thing now we officially have over 8 billion on the planet.

It’s a bit different from WW2 when we converted factories (already making industrial stuff like cars or machinery) to produce tanks and bullets.

It’ll be a hard push converting “modern day workplaces” like call centres and the work force who prefer to take selfies of their skinny lattes than get their hands dirty making bombs.

That model has a range of under 50 miles, and a 100kg warhead. The crater seems larger than that, but…

There is the possibility that a Ukrainian AA missile came down with a Russian missile…

Time will tell.

Yeah this is what I'm getting at... The Yanks might well be choking for a reason and will have thought out strikes that offer the sternest warning without the needs for Nukes. Now that you can spin Nato have legit been attacked, they can now make some pretty specific threats backed up by Russian aggression against a member state

Yip. You can imagine if Russia wasn’t a nuclear power that their military bases on the Ukraine and other NATO borders would already be ablaze and resemble Baghdad/ Kabul from 15-20 years ago.

The sinking the Russian fleet is the ultimate non nuclear option (and hands Crimea to Ukraine on a plate), so I’m guessing some serious hardware getting shifted to the border and/ or loaned to Ukraine as a show of strength, as a final reminder what might be around the corner for what’s left of the Russian forces.

Polish ZET radio now suggesting the Russian missile impact was a result of a Ukrainian air defence intercept, which would also account for the 5V55 debris in the area. Regardless, if it was a Russian missile, it was massively off course.

Are Poland any good, they didn't do much last time out?

Some of the best pilots and soldiers in the British forces in WW2 were Poles.

They especially distinguished themselves at Monte Casino and Arnhem.

Edited 303 squadron of Poles fought in the Battle of Britain and through the war then in 2009 the BNP used the squadron for an anti immigration poster.

My grandad was Polish. Escaped Poland as the Nazis invaded by walking to Scotland. Enlisted with the British Army and went back. And if all the medals are testament to anything it seems he had one hell of a time. I’d say the Poles are itching for a fight with somebody. Anybody.

For the current equivalence - have you ever seen a lazy Polish painter or joiner?

Ukraine will be pushing the "it was intentional" angle very hard.

At best Russia has used up all their lifelines. Even if there is no significant response to the strike, they won't get away with something like this a second time. Irrespective of what caused it to land in Poland.
