He was Prigozhin’s second in command until he refused to join the mutiny and switched to Putin’s side. He was moved out of Wagner, but still has connections there…if he suddenly shows up in charge, we’ll know what happened. Jet was Prigozhin’s own private Embraer Legacy 600, and several Telegram channels are reporting it was shot down by air defences…however there is no confirmation of that. A civil jet like an Embraer would be a relative doddle to down with a missile or gunfire, as they aren’t designed to resist explosions like military aircraft are. He ordered several Russian military aircraft shot down during his botched coup attempt AFAIR, so flying over Russian military air defences was asking for trouble. Would the Russian air force do this unilaterally or did the order come from Vlad?
