patriot1
Newtongrange 1 St Andrews 2 A Lewis Sawers penalty in the dying minutes of extra time make it four wins away to first division opposition in this years King Cup. Glenrothes, Rosyth, Camelon and the Star have all been dispatched and now it is Dunipace who stand between us and our first cup final as a senior side. Wednesday at 7.30pm for what should be a cracking tie.
HibeeJibee
Semi-Finals: Tuesday 2nd May Lochore Welfare v Bo'ness Athletic 6:45pm Wednesday 3rd May St Andrews United v Dunipace 7:30pm None of these clubs have won senior honours before (EDIT: except Dunipace's recent South Challenge Cup victory which took 3 seasons!) - indeed none seem to have won any trophy for 10yrs+ - so all to play for and all 3 divisions still represented. Footballfirst
Well done Lochore. Played out the last 20 minutes with 10 men too. Bo'ness only threatened in the first 10 minutes of each half. Other than that Lochore defended resolutely and comfortably. Man of the match was the Lochore keeper Dale Wotherspoon(sp?). He got his ample frame behind everything thrown at him and his handling, including cross balls, was excellent.

Can’t understand why Bo’ness did not change up their corner routine, the lochore GK caught nearly every corner that was put in tonight.

You are spot on there, he also had words with some of the local school kids who came on the pitch at the end and were trying to wind up the Bo'ness players. He a good keeper and great at winding the opposition up during the game.

patriot1
An absolute sickener to lose to a last minute penalty. In truth despite being in the ascendancy for most of the second half the Saints didn’t trouble the Pace goalkeeper. But to lose to another of these ridiculous handball decisions is hard to take. I’m having a go at the rule not the match officials but the ball drops between two players and hits our boy on the hand at point blank range. Absolutely nothing he could do about it. Well, that’s how it appeared in real time. I’ll need to see the replay(Dunipace we’re filming it).
