Any implications for the Clarke ePos sponsored Lowland League? I believe it’s common knowledge but they paid the first instalment for sponsoring our shirt then nothing after but by that time the shirts are out on sale. Cowboy of the highest order.

FairWeatherFan
Just now, gav-ffc said: just like that. "Further to press speculation, we can confirm that, with respect to its sponsorship of Falkirk FC during season 2021/22, Clarke EPOS (UK) Limited failed to meet its payment obligations in full and the club raised a court action to recover the monies rightfully due. On 7 June 2022 the Court found in favour of the club and awarded a summary decree in its favour. The order issued by the Court entitles the club to recover the full amounts claimed, interest on the late payment and the recovery of legal expenses incurred. The club is presently waiting for Clarke EPOS (UK) Limited to comply with this order and will make no further comment at this time." Even if they got paid for 2021-22, it's probably best that the Lowland League cuts ties and tries to get a proper sponsor in. The league has plenty of cash banked right now. They don't have an excuse.

Pyramid Watcher
The LL should stop this sponsorship immediately, this company is now so toxic that the league should be nowhere near it.
Popular Post craigkillie
Clarke EPOS should stop the sponsorship because the Lowland League's toxic reputation will reflect badly on them.
FairWeatherFan
Glasgow Rocks are taking legal action as well. 7 minutes ago, Billy XBoswell said: Not looking good as this is also happening with Basketball team GLASGOW ROCKS NEWSTHE TEAMTOP STORIES STATEMENT: CLARKE EPOS (UK) LIMITED JULY 6, 2022 Our season ticket packages for the 2022/23 season are NOW ON SALE! Secure your seat at a discounted rate for the season, with family tickets and payment plans also available. To find out more CLICK HERE! Glasgow Rocks are disappointed to confirm that Clarke EPOS (UK) ltd have failed to meet its payment obligations in regard to its sponsorship for the 2021/22 season and are no longer associated with the club. We are currently pursuing legal action against the company for the amount owed, interest on the late payment and the recovery of legal expenses incurred. The club has tried on numerous occasions to work with Clarke Epos (UK) ltd on a solution to this but with payment failing to materialise on several missed deadlines it was concluded that pursuing legal action was the only viable option left.
RossBFaeDundee
Couldn't think of a more perfect sponsor for this binfire of a league, to be perfectly honest. Edited July 6, 2022 by RossBFaeDundee
FairWeatherFan
It gets better. Apparently the league sponsor was "introduced by one of the guest clubs". Notice neither Rangers or Celtic seem to have been sponsored by Clarke_epos

Notice neither Rangers or Celtic seem to have been sponsored by Clarke_epos Maybe that's why the LL got paid? Do leagues and clubs, generally, only accept sponsorship on the basis that the cash is paid "up front" or is it usual to be more flexible - and therefore more open to being taken for a ride (assuming that's what has been going on). What does your club or league do? It might help clubs/leagues if they knew for sure what most do.

AlansHotBath
Spotted this in the Ardeer thread: https://www.pressreader.com/uk/scottish-daily-mail/20220707/282943863967591 According to "Lowland League sources" their payments are up to date but they want to distance themselves from the company.

Commitment to what ? fleecing clubs out of money for his own personal gain ? The Lowland League’s vice-chairperson, Graeme Mullin, continued: “We’re thrilled to partner with Clarke ePOS. “They are an aspirational, innovative business who have already demonstrated their commitment to Scottish football through a number of tie-ups with various clubs and ventures.
