Dev
Assuming that Tranent aren't looking to go straight through to the SPFL2 then this season could be the last chance for clubs to win the League before WoS "Big Guns" start to filter up. Not surprising to see the more ambitious clubs going for it this season. Difficult to look beyond EK and Broomhill and either could win through to the SPFL2 via the play-offs.
Lowland team
I always thought Darvel where a big wos big!! gun.dont think they will find it easier in the LL.but lets wait and see eh.
Deanburn Dave
Darvel were expected to progress in the play offs v Tranent but alas several of the Darvel players chose a stag weekend over their match against Tranent. Have to agree though that the West is stronger than the East but that's only because Kelty Hearts, Bonnyrigg Rose, Bo'ness United and Tranent have all moved up from the East tier 6.
Dev
That's not to run down the EoS sides as, e.g. Linlithgow, must be up there again this season, and they won't be running away with it at the top.
Deanburn Dave
A Bo'ness United fan run down Linlithgow Rose ? Not my intention......honest.My inside source at the Rose tells me they have strengthened and barring serious injuries and lengthy suspensions they have a squad he feels will make a better challenge for the title.
craigkillie
Barring their woeful start last season they would likely have won it, so they've got to start as big favourites. -

Horseshit. How many points were the Wee Rose off the top of the league when they fired Brown? How many points did they finish off the top of the league at the end of the season?

Their start (11 from 24 points) didn't exactly help but their three defeats to 12th, 13th and 15th placed teams in the spring also cost them once they'd got back into contention.

How do you work that out, they were 10 points behind Tranent after 9 games and finished 12 points behind Tranent, so your argument dose not stand up. craigkillie
Sorry, hadn't noticed Tranent weren't top at that point. However, Tranent aren't in the league this year, so it remains true Linlithgow under Herd were better last season than any of the sides they're going to be up against.
