Ideally where the coaches can park as well. Thanks A list of pubs given on match thread. Some close to Palmerston easy walking distance., as parking at the town pubs is not very convenient. The Lochar Inn is about 3 miles out of town and you go past it to get to Palmerston. Supporters coaches from other clubs often stop there and coaches can park behind it or use the surgery car park next door. Locharbriggs Social Club also has adequate parking and buses often stop there. Might need to pre- book though. It's close to the Lochar Inn as well so about the same distance from Dumfries.
101
AJ is a solid choice. What's the script with Aird obviously he did the dirty on AJ last summer but he is a classy player but seems to fall out with folk all the time.

He's only on loan to us anyway so it's up to Dundee Utd what his future is. He didn't really feature much for us so maybe there was an attitude problem.
Monkey Tennis
On balance, this definitely looks like a sensible appointment. Given the suddenness with which the sacking arrived on Saturday, lots of us were concerned that we would be forced to appoint someone from the backroom staff, or a senior player. Even leaving aside Johnston's previous success here (because it was helped by certain conditions we don't now have) it's good that we're going for an established manager with experience of the relevant division(s). It all has the potential to go horrifically wrong of course, but there's maybe reason now to feel a little more upbeat. The wording on QoS site made it sound like it was for the play offs. I'd guess AJ was lined up for next season in any case of your result on Saturday, tho the performance and result altered the timing. Ross County, Inverness, Ayr and Alloa the only teams with same manager the season they started with, it's been a cut throat championship.
QosLoyal
Can imagine Durnan will be getting looked at for next season.

We Are Pars Fans!
Durnan is one of the worst players I’ve seen for the pars, you would be better to avoid.
D.A.F.C
AJ does well when he can out spend the opposition. Limited manager tactically but can do well in league one.
DUMFRIES_CREW
New management teams first essential job is to chase Eddie Warwick from anywhere near the first team.
QoS_Blue1919
Would take Durnan. Was shite at the Pars but then again, so was Gavin Reilly, and he led the line for the champions the following season. Would take Lovejoy as well, and holty.f**k it just sign Lyle, Atkinson, Gibson and Hooper. Get the band back together
19QOS19
Would have Durnan back in a heartbeat. To have a threat at set pieces again would a bonus in itself. Is his Tweet with a fitba and dog a wee hint?
abc2019
Find it hard to believe no matter how well Doyle has made an impression with the fans, that he would stay next year regardless of the league we play in. Easily stick him in front of any CB for any of the teams that are in play offs or for the likes of county who have already been promoted. Have to imagine he will be offered a better deal elsewhere in the championship especially. Kept that back line in tact some games quite visibly, great for the youth to play alongside.
vikingTON
Hiya Michael, hiya pal! The fact that you got released for having failed with a Morton side that finished 7th last season and are now a laughable 'standout' for a side facing seaside league playoffs - as part of a defence that ships goals for fun - suggests that no, you will be scraping the very bottom of the barrel of full-time contract offers this summer. Perhaps Falkirk or Airdrie will be interested but not a competent Championship side.

So you’re saying that Michael Doyle is a better centre back than - to pick just one from each of the top four - Michael Rose, Coll Donaldson, Mark Reynolds and Callum Semple (who was of course getting a game for Queens at centre back before joining County)? The standard of defender in the division wasn’t particularly high this season, but that is a ridiculous shout.
