The Queen of the South thread

To be fair if we wait till after today we can only bring in loans from Scottish teams, and tbh not many that could be targets appeal. Would be nice if we could occasionally get loanies from decent pedigree clubs from down south as Livingston and Dumbarton have done lately.

They have brought in a player with no appearances from a Championship club and a player with no appearances from a League One club

In the summer, we signed a loan player with no appearances from a Championship club.

To be fair Coogans had already played up here so wasn't exactly an unknown. By all accounts the boy Kakay looked very good at Livi. There are great loan signings available down south. Alex Samuel has been decent at Morton and over the years there have been a few success stories with cross border loans such as Proudlock, Earnshaw, Rodriguez, Fox, Barry and Constantine doing well in the Scottish lower leagues and becoming or hoping to become successful footballers

Any chance of a shot of wee dale hilson for half a season lads ? Major SOS up Forfar way :(

Is he even fit just now ?

No, and no.

He's broken his foot twice this season and his on the way back from surgery to insert a metal pin in it. He's not long had clearance to get back into full training and we're hoping he'll be available for the first team in 3 or 4 weeks. He showed enough in 2 or 3 early season appearances to suggest he could be a big player for us.

Hope inserting a petal doesn't leaf him with a limp.

I reckon Craig Reid is a stick on to sign for us. James Fowler has stated he would ideally like to add in another cb and with him also being able to play at rb and having previously had a good spell at our club he is very likely to be targeted. This would allow young Hooper to go out on loan and gain some valuable game time as hes at an age where he needs to be playing 1st team competitive football.
