I've not seen the Bankies play this season so was touch n go on who I thought would win but I still felt the bankies would win. What I thought was wrong and I don't mind admitting I was wrong. Still great to get 8 teams through to Round 2 out of 9 AND to add to that I never gave Benburb a hope in hell's chance against Dundonald Bluebell who have been flying high in the EOSF Premier league and the Bens ran out with a fantastic 4 . 2 winning result, so wrong again lololol lololol

I personally never thought Clydebank would beat Spartans but like many in the West maybe hoped on a good day the Bankies would get a result. When i look at the EoSFL and the tinpot LL above us which is nearly 40 clubs in the big Scottish Cup, our best bet is to follow them in a scatter gun approach. More clubs you have in the big Scottish, the more chance one or more will reach the later rounds.

Me personally I didn't make Bankies the favorites and was unsure what many thought but the Bankies are still a strong team and that they were playing at Home in the Scottish Cup and with Spartans and Bankies losing goals left right and center, I thought they would pull together and edge it. Look at the Bens, playing Dundonald Bluebell, 3rd in EOSFL Premier league and odds on favorites, in 6 league games score 15 and lost 5, and Dundonald were beaten 4 . 2 by the Bens and then Kilwinning against Tranent, I wasn't expecting a good result from the Buffs against a team whom I watched last season but the Buffs pulled it off in what I'm hearing in a convincing win after coming back from 2.0 down. So you can get my understanding why my views were what they were, but feck me, its the Scottish cup, anything can happen in these ties and if you said to me, the WOSFL will have 8 out of 9 through to the 2nd round I would have thought you were mad I'm from the West, hell yeah and want them all to do well but I've been to games in the East and been up in Aberdeen this season watching games so I try to get about and be objective with my views and predictions if I make any but funnily enough, I've not been to a Bankies game this season. To be fair, I like to see a couple from the Teir 6 and below of both the EOSFL and the WOSFL reach the fourth round which I think is exciting and keeps a lot at the level of football we watch, interested in the Scottish Cup. p.s. think the Scottish cup 2nd round draw is this evening at 6pm Edited September 19, 2022 by Bestsinceslicebread

Well having watched the game unfold we should've won so his optimism was well placed. A lack of taking clear cut chances and some poor defending ( isn't that a classic combination ) were to blame. Well done Spartans they took their chances and we didnae - best of luck to them. Good guys as well. F_T_Y
What chance have you got with a keeper that can't catch a ball? Done the same thing at Troon and chucked that game as well. Not talking beckham-esque deliveries either just simple catches. Spartans keeper had some good stops but wasn't overly impressed with them. They maybe looked a bit fitter than us but was not much in the game till king comes out into no mans land for the equaliser and then the heads went down. Higgins rattled the post at 2-1 from a ridiculous angle but Spartans were the worthy winners.

Benburb all the way up to Wick is daunting, a hard tie, Uneven long grassed tricky pitch. Pollok at home to Annan is another good one

If Talbot are on form I'd normally favour them to go through against a mid table LL side but I expect this to be a tough one.
