dingdong1929 Posted January 4, 2015 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Irvine puts in a tremendous amount of effort, very athletic, shows glimpses of real skill and nice footwork at times, and really does have great hair. His positioning and reading of the game isnt great (is quite poor) so no-one will argue with the headless chicken comments, and his passing can be inconsistent too. People keep saying that but it's patently nonsense. If you put this team up against any of our teams from the mid to late 90s (and most from the 00s as well), they would win 9 times out of 10. One example doesn't really back up your claim that this is the worst County team in 20 years, nor dismiss the counter-arguments. Covering the other 16 years would be pretty emphatic though. Maybe aim for somewhere in between? EDIT: You've also blatantly cherry-picked arguably our best team ever as the example. So Forfinn's argument still stands.
