Spain
Can't wait to see it finished tbh. What will the capacity be? 6,000, which is actually 900 less than last season. Anyone that's been in the ground recently has commented on how enclosed it feels and how it should create a brilliant atmosphere. I can't wait to see it for myself.
Capital_stag
Popped down this afternoon to get a peep. The Pic's don't do it justice. Lots going on. The Jailend is ready for the seats to go in. The biggest workload is the extension to the East Stand which has 1,500 blocks to be laid. You also get an idea of the pitch of the away stand now with the blocks laid today. I believe a specialist firm are coming in to inset the seating into the new stands. The temp stand between the East stand and Away stand is also going in. They are preparing that area this week hopefully. Uncle Roy is also seen in the pic's (Dark coat & white hard hat walking round will davie the groundsman). He seemed in good form when he asked me to cut the grass with Davie. Not sure how good the views will be but I reckon the atmosphere will be cracking for most of your games. Which will be an advantage to County I suppose.
Spain
The temp stand between the East stand and Away stand is also going in. They are preparing that area this week hopefully. TJE mentioned this a page or so back. I had no idea this was happening (admittedly I haven't spoken to anyone in the club over the last month). What confuses me though is the fact that we don't have planning (as viewable here) for it. The permanent modifications give us the 6,000 needed and no planning has been submitted to increase that. thejailender
Don't think you need planning for the temporary stand. So just not included in the original plans. From what I heard it was just a nice to have extra, and given we're ahead of schedule with the rest of the stadium we may as well have it
bunglebonce
I don't see the sense in the wendyhouse: 1) It will rarely be filled; 2) How many times will it have to be filled to justify the cost of erecting it; and 3) In the instances that it could be filled, the same space could be used for hospitality marquees, possibly bringing in more revenue. I trust the board are doing the correct thing, though.

They do of course have the "Academy Suite" which is rarely used, but I'm with you on this one.
latapythelegend
Looks nice so far although the away end looks a little odd.
Spain
Looks nice so far although the away end looks a little odd. It's mainly because the upper half of the seating tiers is missing still.
Spain
Look who got a new job http://www.football3...y-coaching-role To be fair to him, he's got a good track record as a youth coach. He was just horrendous as a manager.

bunglebonce
Picture chored from the 'official' Facebook page, with some observations: The grass will need cut soon! The pitch isn't raised after all. It certainly looked raised when I saw the ground post-USH, but that would have been due to soil at the sides of the pitch being cut away to access the pipes. There is a wee over-lap of the stands at the NW side of the ground, from that angle. Hopefully it won't restrict the views from the seating area in the corner. The ground does look more enclosed at the NW corner than I had thought it would. I like.

Grass being cut next week possibly Monday The Pitch is raised, but is gradual form the edge to about 4 feet in. It wont affect the lower seating much. looks more like a foot rather than 18 inches though. No restriction in view for away fans, stand is also close to the pitch (Tynecastle like)
Spain
I notice the floodlight may well be in the way in the corner, I wonder if it will need moved back.
Les Westander of County
I notice the floodlight may well be in the way in the corner, I wonder if it will need moved back. Not sure but don't think so. The first couple of metres in from the West end of the Stand will probably be stairs & walkway, so the seats won't start right into the corner.
Mambostaggie
Will we need planning permission for Tokelys cage?
Charlie Eddie Stuart
Are all your posts of this calibre? Yes... it would appear they are. Let's put it this way, you are a liar. I find this very hurtful and I ask you to take this back. Especially now since the Tokely deal has been confirmed. My only surprise is that he didn't sign earlier as he was close to signing the other week. There was a delay as he reviewed offers but to call me a liar is out of order. Let's put it this way, I was correct. Enjoy your new carthorse. Edited June 7, 2012 by Charlie Eddie Stuart
