Irosshed and I was wrong
We are growing into this. O’Riordan is definitely mobile and think he’ll do well.Ngewnya looks every bit a left back playing out of position.
TxRover
In (somewhat) related business, Elgin go up 0-1 with an assist from Young at 18’…just so Raith.
Raith Against The Machine
We're really missing a Brad Spencer or a Regan Hendry who'll come and take the ball of the centre halfs and get things moving. We must've completed about three times as many passes as Dundee, but they're all just across the back line, with the occasional knock into a backwards-facing Brown or Stanton who can only return it to the defence. Don't get me wrong, we've not been absolutely abysmal, but there are still a couple of fundamental issues that make this Rovers side dysfunctional to a fair degree.

We’re crying out for a 4-1-3-2, with Brown lying deep, Easton in the middle, and Stanton on the f**king bench.

CALDERON
We've not been at all bad, but it's taken losing an early goal to get us playing. For the 3rd week in a row.

Of the issues in the 1st half he isn’t one.
Raith Against The Machine
We've just had our best chance of the game, and it all came from Connor O'Riordan carrying the ball out of defence for the first time. He looks like he's growing into the game. We'll definitely need a more senior centre half to come in though, it's not fair - or feasible - to rely on these two for the whole season.

Right then, other opinions seemed otherwise, and he’s struggled to be effective this year. I suspect he doesn’t fit IM’s scheme well.

I'm not even sure there was a challenge. Play had moved on into another part of the pitch and he was just sat on his arse. Looked like he knew he was done pretty much straight away.

CALDERON
A centre forward is more important than a defender at this stage. We are playing OK, getting into decent positions etc but there's absolutely zero in that final third. SanStarko
We’ve come into it more since the goal. Which wouldn’t be hard given we barely got over the half way line before the goal. O’riordan looks decent and full of confidence. Pity we don’t have a Berra alongside. Not sure what the game plan was early on but hitting high balls to Connolly and Ngwenya was never going to work.
