The Naitch
Alvechurch, Chippenham, King's Lynn and Farnborough amongst the giantkillers today. Weymouth and AFC Fylde have done well to earn replays against league opposition.

The Naitch
You'd be forgiven for thinking it was the Harlem Globetrotters playing Oldham today going by the way Sam Matterface has prattled on.
peasy23
Limbs aplenty at Plainmoor as Torquay get an equaliser against Derby in the 5th minute of stoppage time.
Melanius Mullarkey
Classic pitch invasion scenes. if there’s VAR at a game you wouldn’t get that.

The Master
BBC One showing a game in violation of the 3pm blackout in Scotland that day (all English regions are available in Scotland, so BBC One Scotland can't simply opt-out).
southernrover
Some laugh if Torquay beat Derby in that replay and the prime slot on FA Cup weekend ends up dedicated to a team scraping around the bottom of League 2 playing a team scraping around the bottom of the National League.

I don't think it matters. The whole strategy is about the oldest competition and "minnows" dreaming of Wembley etc. Even if it is Derby it won't significantly improve viewing figures.
SlipperyP
@senorsoupe is moving AFC Wimbledon beat Welling Utd 3-1 AFC Wimbledon v Chesterfield in 2nd round
senorsoupe
Looking forward to this. Have always had a soft spot for Wimbledon after the scandalous way the original club was treated by the FA so I am very happy to now get to support them in the FA cup
Eednud
Second Round today and tomorrow. List of televised games posted by @The Master above. Only one all non-league tie, Wrexham (5) v Farnborough (6). Lowest level club still in the Cup is Alvechurch (7) away to Forest Green Rovers (3). https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63729501 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63718996 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63746279 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63717123

senorsoupe
Sigh, Wimbledon 0-2 Chesterfield. Was hoping for a result here, disapointing Oh well, on to the next round. Mon the Spireites!
come on shire
Alvechurch are the lowest ranked side in the FA Cup and they beat Cheltenham Town in the 1st round. They seemed to have went to Forest Green Rovers and gave them a tough game in the 2nd round. I've never heard of the place but it sounds like the setting of a period drama where the Lord of the Manor wants his daughter to marry a boring, stuffy elitist boy who's "of money" but she can't be arsed with that. It would probably be a midweek evening BBC drama
Charles Stiles
Forest Green based in Nailsworth population 5662. Alvechurch 5316. Total 10,978*. Must be some sort of record for the lowest population tie this far into the tournament. *2001 census but still

It's fairly pleasant and has some good pubs.
