I guess the guy who grew up on Firs Street beside the old Shire park has completely lost interest now? That maybe leaves the long sought after second coming of Alan Mackin as the possible sketchy individual scenario. Setting aside EK vs Caley Braves, have to say that only University of Stirling looks like a strong favourite for the third round based on that draw. On the flip side all but Dalbeattie and possibly Gretna have a reasonable shot. Edited September 19, 2022 by LongTimeLurker

Broomhill and Cowdenbeath would have started the season with the exact same ambition of getting promoted to the SPFL. All of the Cowden fans I've read on here were very realistic about their prospects at the start of the season. Promotion would have been wishful thinking, not ambition.

So feck, If a team has someone giving them as much money as possible then good luck or a club works with its fans and just gets them through the door and good sponsorship then good luck. It doesn't make a blind bit of difference. The club with their fans will still be there, (If they are run well), or a club bankrolled will be constantly bankrolled until something happens, (maybe in that time they will have sorted stuff out to continue their existance). History books will tell the truth, if bank roll team wins the league, good on them, if they win it the next year even better. Someday it will come to an end, some sooner than later but they still might continue and do well after the money person has moved on. Ffs well know teams lower down, (20 odd years ago), did the same and benefited whether for a year or a couple of years. The only people it's hurting are the jealous ones who come on here condemning a team with a lot of money, it genuinely is so funny that they come on here to seek some sort of solance. Any team with a huge sum of money to bankroll a team is a target for the other clubs. The lads love it playing against a superior team and if they will then they celebrate. The more teams with money the better, means more bigger superior teams you want to beat Edited September 19, 2022 by Bestsinceslicebread
Benidorm
Some amount of bodywarmers, stoney and icon hats on show at Broadwood from those photos on twitter on friday night. Old Firm cbeebies podcast audience of theirs really buying into the novelty act currently. For now at least. Pyramid Watcher
Looking forward to the magic of the cup next weekend, EK v Braves for me, which should be a cracker, 2 teams full of goals.

Pyramid Watcher
Thought 5-0 was harsh on Braves, but all credit to EK who took their chances. Edited October 22, 2022 by Pyramid Watcher
ekok
Absolutely, to be one up at HT was very harsh on Braves, hit woodwork a couple of times and stonewall penalty for handball missed. That said EK started second half up two gears and by end won comfortably. Equally stonewall penalty for EK given as free kick on 18 yard line, tbf scored via deflection, so justice done. Much better tempo and aggression in second half and apart from another woodwork escape, EK dominated and took their chances. That is all suspensions served and next game a week on Tuesday, so time to get a few injured players back into squad. Still all to play for, another couple of Development Squad got a run out today and got a feeling some of them will make their mark , great to see them getting a chance.
UpInTheStand
A quick shout out to the guy that does the Spartans Twitter account for calling the Prestonfield pitch a paddock - appropriate as his team got absolutely horsed...

Just like Berwick Rangers - taking defeat gracefully. Fully expect to see their no6 partnering Tom Daley in the near future

The problem is them getting promotion on an unsustainable budget and booting the fair play rules out the window when they get up. Jealousy no. because they can climb the leagues all they want and it's only going to end one way. Ever more unsustainable expenditure, going bust and doing another Gretna. Nobody is jealous of that prospect.
