2nd v 3rd Sevco v Buddies

Recommended Posts

So, as predicted, Walsh makes sure there is no possibility of a contest. Does anyone seriously believe that VAR will make the slightest difference?

this season alone, New Rangers have benefited from at least 3 decisions that ultimately decided matches at Ibrox.
against Ross County, a clear sending off not given at 0-0.

Against Dundee Utd, a last minute penalty for Utd when 2-1 down. Not given.

yesterday, an unbelievable soft penalty at 1-0.

To be fair to Bennet, we can't really claim they are either side of the arse cheek, while simultaneously claim they shouldn't compare their games against us. We had the same formation and strategy, albeit different personnel, in both games against the OF, with clearly different results.

The whataboutery that does my nut in would be along the lines of, "yes you got a penalty against you, but it's evened out because we were denied when we played <insert other team>", as if football relies on some sort of 'holistic karma'.

“The honest mistakes even themselves out over the course of the season.”

Say that penalty  cost  St Mirren a point that means they finish outside the top six?

Doesn’t  even it up for them, does it?

Yeah, I don't think anyone genuinely believes that sort of nonsense, it's used as a crutch to support the referee showing bias or incompetence (or perhaps both).

We've had some soft penalties in the past and I didn't use them to excuse Walsh's decision on Saturday.
